Human evolution has resulted in the current presence, at least in Western Civilization, of three subspecies:
(1) Icans, (2) Youmaynots, and (3) IguessIcan’ts
Youmaynots, invariably suffering from nasal altitude sickness (snobbery), spend their miserable lives telling Icans and IguessIcan’ts alike, not what they cannot do, but what they may not do.
IguessIcan’ts listen to, and religiously obey, the Youmaynots. IguessIcan’ ts are, in essence, submissive slaves! They’ve been conditioned to think of themselves as perpetual victims and are obediently idle until Youmaynot get around to throwing them a pathetic bone, now and then.
To Youmaynots and IguessIcan’ts alike, individual initiative is unthinkable!
Icans, taking TR’s advice and thus ever seeking personal victory and achievement, contemptuously ignore Youmaynots, and majestically refuse to be slaves/victims. Icans have fearlessly claimed our own magnificence and birthright as Americans!
Youmaynots, while forever declining to actually perform any productive work themselves, have infiltrated academia, corporations, high levels of law enforcement, local, state and federal politics, and high levels of military services.
As a result, we have too many Youmaynots and IguessIcan’ts riding on the wagon, and far too few Icans actually pushing it.
However, there is a glimmer of hope!
Icans, literally believing in unpopular concepts such as character, courage, honesty, productivity, heroism, truthfulness, honor, self-reliance, individual responsibility, individual initiative, integrity, loyalty, patriotism and selflessness will, as noted above, relentlessly ignore caterwauling Youmaynots. Icans just face to the front and fearlessly go forward!
For example, as a proud, conspicuous, and unrepentant Ican, I firmly believe I can competently protect myself and mine from VCAs!
Youmaynots scream,
“No, No, No! You can’t do anything on your own. You have to ‘need’ us!”
Until their throats are raw, but, as grave threats to our Republic continue, more and more confident, honorable, responsible, skilled, and trained Icans will come forth.
Defiantly walk off the plantation and become an Ican today! Transform yourself from a cowering, worthless IguessIcan’t to a proud, productive Ican now. No license, nor permit, required, but with this caveat:
Icans are not afraid of work! Those who are averse to genuine productive work can never be one of us. They are condemned to their pitiable IguessIcan’t existence their entire pointless lives, but that is their choice. For their sake, I hope they continue to find some species of contentment in their chosen status as slaves.
Warning: a particularly pernicious subclass of Youmaynots are the Exceptformes. Excpetformes are attracted to politics, particularly liberal big-city mayors and their flocks of political grovelers, as they all cynically think they don’t need to obey their own “rules,” but you do!
Their nasal altitude sickness is especially intense!

Without putting people into too many categories. Government is for those who can’t handle their God given personal freedom. Those who can’t handle personal freedom are the ones whose miscreant behavior is always in the news.
I’m going to add a fourth one to the listing –
Noyewaints. A group / class all by themselves – set aside from the Icans. We strive the same as what Teddy R. stated eloquently – however, we don’t compromise our beliefs and ethics, nor do we tolerate vapid lunacy of the “IguessIcan’ts” and “Youmaynots”.
We’re more likely to tell them to bugger off.
