Fairfax, VA –-(Ammoland.com)-  Last week, an anti-gun bill known as the Firearm Registration Act, or House Bill 503, was introduced in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by anti-gun state Representative Angel Cruz (D-12).

Click here to read Representative Cruz’s co-sponsorship memo.

Says Representative Angel Cruz “In the near future, I plan to re-introduce my legislation which would create the Firearms Registration Act to require all firearms in the Commonwealth to be registered with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP).”

“Under my proposal, owners of registered firearms will be given a valid registration certificate for each registered firearm which will be valid for only one year. A registration certificate will only be issued to individuals who have never been convicted of a crime of violence, never been convicted of a crime relating to the use, possession, or sale of any dangerous drug within five years prior to the application, and is not otherwise ineligible to possess a firearm under any Federal or State law. This PSP database will aid all law enforcement officials across the state with investigations such as tracking missing or stolen firearms.”

Previous co-sponsors: K. BOYLE, O’BRIEN , BROWNLEE, KINSEY, COHEN and YOUNGBLOOD

HB 503 has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee, and your NRA-ILA will keep you updated if this bill sees any movement.

As always, NRA-ILA stands opposed to any and all firearm registration schemes and will stand guard against any infringement on your Second Amendment rights in the Keystone State.

These left-wing whack jobs can’t seem to get it through their lint-for-brains skulls that criminals do not register their guns or if they have registered guns, they were registered it was to the people they stol;e them from! Not discussed anywhere among the gun-control Commies is that laws don’t mean jack when they aren’t enforced. Convictions are way, way down. Arrests for gun-related crimes are also, thanks to the racist liberals who blame white cops and white civilians for shooting black thugs. Never mind that more than 80 percent of blacks are murdered by other blacks. And, all those strict… Read more »

Two of the Philadelphia Democrats who sponsored a bill to require concealed carry holders to purchase expensive liability insurance policies are now up on felony charges, like the common criminals many enemies of the Second Amendment turn out to be (including Jan Schakowsky’s felon husband, Robert Creamer). https://www.pennlive.com/politics/index.ssf/2014/12/charges_filed_against_two_pa_l.html

Reps. Ron Waters, D-Philadelphia, and Vanessa Lowery Brown have been charged with bribery, conflict of interest and other offenses following a Philadelphia grand jury investigation.

The road to Hell is always paved with good intentions. When your premise is asinine to begin with, there’s a very special place in Hell for you. For many years I was dumbfounded at how allegedly intelligent people could actually believe gun laws make people safe. Then it became clear that Safety is their ruse, as it is with any piece of legislation. Their true agenda is Control. You just have to ask yourself, Stupid or Liar?”, to know what they are attempting.

Heard the terrible news… in Saudi Arabia kidnapped by the Black stone of the Kaaba. The authorities are silent… the mystery. Can someone from the officials know the truth?

Registration of any fire arm that is not nfa I strictly against the Pennsylvania state constitution. I’m other words illegal . it is against the law for any government agency to require the registration of any non MFA fire arm to be registered .this concept was introduced a few years back and failed this one will to . ( at least it better)

Angel Cruz can take this legislation and stick it where the sun don’t shine.

jim

and in 2 yrs there will be a fee for ea reg’d gun that will increase to $100 and keep going up .don’t think for once these Philly Demos don’t have a method to this madness

Janek

Their method is “Monochrome Nazism”.

Flush this Philly turd. Many people say Gov. Wolf ( D) was elected as payback against Corbett (R) over his handling of the Penn State issue. IE allowing team to be stripped of their wins , due to a crime they had no part in.

Cpl_B

Corbett lost mostly due to his inability to fund education. While gun advocates came out large in the election (was literally driving them to the polls), there were some very disenfranchised Pennsylvanians that saw their schools cut services and raise taxes in the same year. Pennsylvania had more pressing issues at the time. However, politics is not about the election day. Its about keeping up with what’s going on and getting involved in communities. When things like this come up, make sure you notify your state Rep that they should oppose such bills.

She keeps bringing up her “Create Criminals from Common People” bill knowing full well that the Supreme Court has ruled that you cannot prosecute a “Prohibited Person” for failing to register a gun, it would violate their 5th Amendment Rights. Pre-confiscation lists such as hers only identifies the common citizen that she is afraid of and does nothing to reduce crime or violence. It actually increases the violence since she is willing to have YOU killed to force compliance.

John

Ex nuke: That’s a woman? You really do have some dykes over there.

Apart from that, these politicians give new meaning to the word “stupid.”

And I suppose the annual registration fee is going to be sky high as well.

Janek

I just don’t understand it! Pennsylvanians “cling to their Bibles and guns” yet they continue to elect quislings in the Democratic Party, most recently a ‘tax and spend’ governor.

There are THOUSANDS of veterans who are better trained, more motivated and just as well equipped as any DHS thug. We will fight for an ideal that we swore an oath to protect. DHS thugs do what they do for nothing more than a paycheck. They have no honor or belief in our Constitution or Country. MOLON LABE is not a faith, but an expression of our ideals drawn from ancient history. So, if history must repeat itself in this country, then please let it happen while I still have strength in my arms and the will in my heart,… Read more »

TRUTH BE TOLD

As soon as they stir up enough trouble (riots) to then move to marshall law – then the constitution would be suspended and that would then open the door to UN troops of any country to come here to implement the Small arms treaty obama signed which is no Guns for anyone…. through force of course…..

Sundude

Are you serious to believe in Rambo? It’s bad enough to think that soldiers of the “Molon Labe faith” will save us from the trained police force that has been assembled under Homeland Security. To believe in Rambo, you are really misguided.

Unfortunately these types of remarks do not help the cause. Fear is what’s motivating the opposition to support more gun control. The media does a wonderful job of highlighting deranged and sadistic individuals doing incredibly horrific acts. It sells commercial slots. We have to be better and more positive than feeding the rhetoric. Composed education is your best counter to the hardcore gun control advocates. Some will never listen. Some are on the fence. The former you will never convince. The latter can be swayed because the truth is on our side. But making inflammatory statements only pushes them away.

Shut Up MORON IDIOT

CaliGunGuru

Um, no. Gun control is born out of wanting to control of our rights. The creators of these laws don’t give a fat rats white hairy butt about “hideous acts”, only that if they happen they can spin them into more control. The only fear they have is that we will defeat them and destroy their idea of a perfect utopia.

Molon Feckin' Lave

Get off your knees. Kissing the asses of these bush-league fascists is a failing policy. It’s time that THEY start feeling the fear. Fear of every sort: electoral defeat, financial ruin, social rejection, and in the end the fate of traitors and petty tyrants, a long drop and a short rope.

Well,

I will be donating to the NRA-ILA. Dumb-_ss Demorats!

askeptic

PA, if it implements this legislation, will discover, as has CA and CT, that there are just not as many firearms in the state as has been previously thought, as millions of guns will go unregistered, and unseen, until they are needed to, once again, overthrow tyranny.
