Peoria, Arizona – -(Ammoland.com)- Details: What started out as a gathering of a handful of friends that met over social media to get together for a day of shooting and brotherhood has blossomed into one of the largest and most well-known social media events in the shooting community.

Photos and video from the events are widespread across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, and there have been reports that clips have appeared in both print and television media as well. Today, you will be hard pressed to find a shooting enthusiast that has not seen or heard of photos and video of the event.

Somewhere in the amazing transformation from just a dozen individuals to the more than 400 people who attended the inaugural event it was decided that we would use the gathering interest to better the community as well as provide awareness and generate revenue for a charitable cause, and being close friends with the founders of the Wishes for Warriors organization, we melded the two together to turn Shockwave in the Desert into a benefit event.

As a result, Shockwave in the Desert and Wishes for Warriors are now synonymous with each other, and we are proud to continue to support this fantastic organization that helps returning wounded veterans maintain a positive outlook on their civilian lives.
