What Are You Going To Do When Your Jews Leave?

Wisconsin –-(Ammoland.com)-  Archie Bunker the lovable (alleged) bigot of the 1970s-1980s TV sit-com ‘All in the Family’ was a man who professed to only like fellow WASPs (white Anglo/Saxon protestants) that is until he needed a lawyer to sue someone after a minor auto accident.

Then he wanted the law firm of Rabinowitz, Rabinowitz and Rabinowitz to represent him because everyone knew (according to Archie) that Jewish lawyers are the best at getting what you, the plaintive wants, in a court of law.

And of course the laugh-track of the sit-com reinforces our stereo types about Jewish lawyers and we all had a good laugh.

For the sake of transparency I am what is known as a boring old Methodist.

Since the terrorist attack in Paris that led to the killing of French Jews in a kosher market, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel has called for European Jews to immigrate to Israel.

I suppose for some that sounds like a good idea. If the country you live in hates you and does not allow you to have the full rights that your fellow citizens have in that country, and it is because you are Jewish, I understand why a person may what to get out.

Freely and openly practicing your religion is very important to many, but being able to do that in a safe manner can be just as important. If someone is trying to kill you because of your religion—remember you have to stay alive to practice that religion. So Jews are on the move yet again as has happened so many times in history.

My personal concern is the brain-drain that will happen if American Jews decide to leave the US and immigrate to Israel. I would suggest that Europe, and any other area that has a large Jewish population might want to consider this concern. At the national level Jews have been historically and systematically left out of the normal day-to-day operations of many countries. Jews were prohibited from participating in elected politics, being officers in the military (they would however draft them as enlisted soldiers–but no power), or joining the police force or the prosecuting legal system.

In all of these areas people had power and that power was not to be given to Jews over non-Jews.

So if you are restricted from using physical or legal power then you turn to brain power. What is that old saying “they can take everything away from you except your education?”

I have to admit this never-ending persecution of Jews down through history is a mystery to me—why?

Tell me the Jews were once a massive and mighty force that swept through Eurasia, killing and subjugating the way the Mongrels or Alexander the Great did. Tell me the only way to stop these atrocities was to crush and then break up the remaining marauding Jews, forever keeping them in small controllable pockets of displaced people for the safety of the known world. But this is not true.

So the Jews used their brain power and prospered and the world resents the success of this extremely small group of people. But because everything in the world revolves around it—follow the money. The constructive use of education to improve the lives and livelihoods of Jews is resented. The power and influence that Jewish money can acquire is resented.

Mao Zedong said “power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” I would suggest that real power comes out of a checkbook. Israel really wants the professional Jews to immigrate. The doctors, dentists, engineers, nurses, pharmacists, these are your nation’s brain-drain if they leave to try and find safety in Israel.

OK, so what is my point–hands off our Americans who happen to be Jewish?

If the rest of the free and not so free world wants to allow this brain-drain to happen in their county, that is their foolish problem. I am sure we have enough lawyers in the US (sorry Mr. Rabinowitz) but we do not have enough doctors, dentists, scientists, nurses, and engineers, so hell no, I do not want these Americans to leave.

Now if your happen to have a PHD in 16th century, Belgium gender-natural studies and you feel you might be more marketable in Tel Aviv go for it, but your sister the mathematician, I would rather she elected to stay put.

I believe there are 192 Jewish Nobel Laureates. There is that brain power, marketable brain power. The Nazis ran off their professional Jews in the 1930s (exterminating many of the rest) just as they were about to have an overwhelming need for Jewish medical expertise.

If this Jewish brain-drain wants to leave other nations of the world, my suggestion is the US should be working real hard to get them to immigrate and bring their needed talents to our shores. We already have enough immigrants who come here to “take” from the system.

It would be both refreshing and useful to have new immigrants who can start producing as they hit the ground running. So I ask the world, what are you going to do when your Jews leave?
