New Jersey –-(Ammoland.com)- We did it! Thanks to your phone calls and e-mails Shaneen Allen was granted a full pardon by Governor Christie.

The single mother who became victim to New Jersey’s ridiculous and draconian gun laws can finally get her life back.

But our fight is not over! As I stated in my January meetings, “We will stop at nothing and keep fighting for our rights with absolutely no compromise.” This is evidence of our success and Shaneen would not have been pardoned if it was not for our members’ persistent and consistent fight for freedom.

Please help us keep up the fight for our rights in New Jersey! We are actively working towards concealed carry, national reciprocity, repealing the “assault weapons” ban, etc, however, these battles are time consuming and expensive so please sign-up or renew as a member or make a donation at NJ2AS.com!

In Freedom,

From a British perspective, Shaneen Allen has suffered a grave injustice. Also, as one of the other correspondents has observed, that “pardon” is revocable at any time. I would go even further: it actually suggests that she is a criminal, and that NJ, in the person of its governor, is just saying they won’t throw the book at her. Since her whole bearing from the time she was stopped by the NJ cop is decidedly NON-suggestive of criminal intent – known in legal terms as “mens rea”, or “guilty mind/intention” – the very lack of this in her bearing means… Read more »

I’ve read Christie and Jeb Bush do not own guns. While not owning is a right, it makes you scared they are not really on our side. Rush Limbaugh didn’t own any until some groups gifted him a few. But, Rush has always stood with us on ideology. I always question the wisdom of a man who doesn’t depend on himself as the ultimate line of self defense. Choosing a gun free home is legitimate option in our free country but I am suspicious of states and their leaders that try to force everyone to go unarmed. As the gun… Read more »

none of this should have happened in the first place !some involved probably broke their own arms patting themselves on the back while saying : look what I can do to someone and there ain’t a damn thing they can do about it !

Did anybody notice the last line of the pardon? It’s kind of interesting.

“”This order is subject to revocation at any time, at the discretion of the governor, without notice.”

That’s not a pardon, that’s probation which can be revoked on a whim.

Janek

This doesn’t mean I’ll vacation or shop in New Jersey again.

That’s excellent news from the draconian Garden State even though their still keeping these draconian gun laws.

While it is not just good but great that this Woman got the full pardon that she deserved, but you can bet you shoes that it was for political gain, and nothing more. Christie is just trying to make himself look good as well as trying to make himself look like he is all for the 2nd amendment which he has gone against the whole time he has been in office. IF he is so pro 2nd amendment then NJ would not have all the anti gun laws that they have. They also would not be locking people up for… Read more »

Christie did it for gun votes nothing more. He would sign antigun laws if he would get more votes. JUST SAY NO to Christie as a political person.

Raymond Eddy

Why in the world did he wait so long? I will never vote this man for president!

TEX

I would like think Chrisie did this because it’s the right thing to do. But I don’t,just politics.

dave

I agree. Politics as usual. I’m sure Christie did it for his benefit (the upcoming presidential election) not Allens.
