Covington VA –-(Ammoland.com)- Virginia Citizens Defense League will hold its SW Virginia semi-annual family picnic on May 16 2015! This time at FOSTER FALLS STATE PARK.
HOURS: 11 AM to 4 PM, **rain or shine**
ALL Virginia Citizens Defense League members, families and any guests are invited! This will be a really fun day for the whole family, regardless of where you live in Virginia!
Come join us at the beautiful Foster Falls “River Shelter” on the banks of the New River for lots of fellowship & food.
Virginia Citizens Defense League will furnish charcoal-grilled burgers and hot dogs with all the fixin’s, picnic salads and sides. This NOT a pot-luck event, but feel free to bring your favorite side dish to share if you would like to.
There will be door-prize drawings, and a celebratory cake. Several speakers are scheduled, including Philip Van Cleave, who will highlight the 2015 legislative session and veto-override session.
To insure that we have enough food and drinks for everyone, PLEASE RSVP TO [email protected] and indicate how many adults and children who will be attending, and you will SAVE $4.00! RSVP and Virginia Citizens Defense League will reimburse your $4.00 parking fee!

DETAILED DIRECTIONS TO FOSTER FALLS STATE PARK:
From I-77, take Exit 24, go east on Rt 69 (Lead Mine Rd), turn LEFT on Rt 52 (Fort Chiswell Rd, Northbound), about 1.5 miles, Turn RIGHT on RT 608 (Foster Falls Road–EASTBOUND); and follow the signs about 1.3 miles to Orphanage Road and the park entrance (about 100 yards)
