Southport, CT –-(Ammoland.com)- Sturm, Ruger &amp Company, Inc. (NYSE-RGR) is proud to announce the reintroduction of the Ruger LC380 pistol to California.

The LC380 was originally introduced nationwide in 2013 as a low-recoiling and easy-to-rack variant of the Ruger LC9 pistol.

In 2014, Ruger made some minor changes to the LC380 production processes that would have required the pistol to meet California’s controversial microstamping law.

The LC380CA California compliant model reflects the unmodified pistol as originally approved by California in 2013.

The Ruger LC380CA is a lightweight, compact pistol perfect for personal protection. The LC380CA holds 7+1 rounds of modern, effective .380 Auto ammunition in a slim, lightweight pistol. The pistol uses the same holsters and accessories as the rugged and reliable LC9 and LC9s.

The LC380CA also features a blued, through-hardened, alloy steel slide; a high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame with aggressive texturing; a finger grip extension magazine floorplate to improve handling; and a rapid acquisition, windage adjustable, 3-Dot sight system.

The compact, 17.2 oz. Ruger LC380CA has a 3.1″ barrel, an overall length of 6″, a height of 4.5″ and a slim 0.9″ width. The compact frame and short trigger reach are designed to accommodate a wide range of hand sizes. The LC380CA offers modern safety features such as a tactile loaded chamber indicator, magazine disconnect, and a manual external safety. The LC380CA ships with one, 7-round magazine, a soft case and a cable locking device.

As a special “bonus” with this reintroduction, the LC380CA will ship for a limited time with a LaserMax CenterFire frame mounted red laser.

Later this year, Ruger plans to expand its offerings of Genuine Ruger Factory Parts & Accessories to include a 9mm caliber conversion kit for the LC380.

The kit will allow owners of a Ruger LC380 or LC380CA to convert their pistol to safely and reliably fire 9mm Luger ammunition, providing added flexibility to shoot either lighter recoiling .380 Auto or more powerful 9mm Luger in the same handgun.

Hello: Would you please let me know when this:
Ruger Reintroduces the Ruger LC380 Pistol to the California Market
becomes real. I would like to buy a Ruger LC380 … Thank you very much!!

John

If gun laws worked then CA would be a very safe state. Unfortunately, they do not work. CA is a lost cause. It is more effective to move than to vote.

Tom

Had a California college professor tell me cops should carry 22 cal. because 22 bullets are smaller and
less threatening. He probably feels microstamping will stop a bad guy from shooting you.
They never let LOGIC stand in their way.

FIRST MAN RECORDED KILLED WITH WITH A ROCK! BAN ALL ROCKS!

How do you put the lc380 California on cc application if you want to use both ammo in it.

READ the entire article before sharpening the pitch fork or lighting the torches.

My previous post should have said ‘state,’ not ‘sate.’ Sorry, folks.

TEX

Boycott Ruger for this bullshit ! To hell with California and their tyranny agains’t the law-abiding citizens that want stay that shithole.

woody

Just because you don’t like California, that doesn’t give you the right to refer to the sate in such a derogatory manner. How would you like it if I were to refer to Texas (or wherever you live) as a ‘sh-thole.’ We need your support, not your negativity.

Eric

Just take your money and jobs out of California , leave the communists to their filth.

Woody

Hey, we’re not all communists out here. There ARE some of us who still believe in the 2nd Amendment.

Jan S

Yes, please we are not all against the 2nd amendment! This use to be a red state before the libtards moved in! I’ve lived here my whole life and I’m so sad and disappointed with the way the state and country has gone! But hopefully with the Trump train things will change for the good! Peace and hope!

Does this mean all their pistols will be Calif. legal? I do not live in Ca. and do not wish
for the pistol to (MICRO STAMP ANYTHING), So I will not be purchasing any firearm from Ruger un less it is a used weapon without their stamping process, good Bye Strum, Rugar &amp Company, Inc.

larry fuller

no need to boycott anything or anyone-both Ruger and S&W have stated they will not be microstamping ANYTHING.
In addition there is no other company that will be doing so,

Jason

“In 2014, Ruger made some minor changes to the LC380 production processes that would have required the pistol to meet California’s controversial microstamping law.”

This appears to suggest otherwise. Even f that is not the case, given the fact that they were willing to change their production process at all, California can make they argument that if they were willing to make this change, they should also be willing to include microstamping.
