USA –-(Ammoland.com)- While the media is falling over themselves to report on the Umpqua Community College shooting that is unfolding as we speak, there is barley a spec of coverage of the 40 injured, 3 fatally shot in Chicago over the past weekend.
Primarily black on black killings don’t fit the mainstream medias agenda that sensationalizes school shootings and provides us with 24/7 coverage for days following such a tragic event.
The same media can not even bring itself to bat an eye when gun control havens like Chicago have 40 people shot or killed in a single weekend, as they did this past September 2015 weekend, each the victims of violent street crime with guns.
“It was another violent weekend in Chicago, ending with three fatalities and 40 individuals wounded during numerous shootings across the city.
A 10-year-old girl was wounded and three people killed during an incident Sunday afternoon, but neither the young girl nor an 18-year-old woman who was also shot during the same incident were the intended targets…” reports Guns.com
But what coverage do we get from CNN, MSNBC and FOX…..(crickets).
God for bid the talking heads speak badly of gun control utopias like Chicago and Baltimore who are on track break all time murder records for the year.
You know this would probably be a good story and may even open some eyes, but there wasn’t 15 dead. How can you write that and then expect the credibility you want? Factual stories would have more people on the side of gun rights advocates. I read this newsletter every time I get it and find it refreshing even educational, but not when a story comes out that is not fact checked.
You’re right, they don’t want to cover anything that could prove they’re wrong. We all know gun control, in the method they propose, doesn’t work. We all know gun free zones like the city of Chicago are dangerous. But if they admit that their poster cities are more dangerous for it of course they can’t. They feel they have to be above reproach and the only way to do so is to ignore actual fact.
If media was to cover the inner-city strife, they would have to go to that area, and they would be in danger then. It is much safer to cover stories out in the suburbs, than in the ghetto. After all, Reporter’s Lives Matter too!
It’s not about the shooting of persons , gun-grabbers couldn’t care less about the individual victims . Inner city carnage does not grab the headlines like ” school ” even though the average age of the students at the crime scene is the tender age of 38 . Out comes the bile ….the big bad NRA , Republican , climate change denier is somehow to blame . Pro abortion , anti American ignoramus know it alls drop in their Bloombergian propaganda . Evil can not be eliminated by government intervention .
