USA –-(Ammoland.com)- So you want to create a gun-free America in 5 easy steps? Here’s all there is to it:
Step 1: Elect. For a gun-free America, the first thing you’ll need is two-thirds of Congress. So elect a minimum of 67 Senators and 290 Representatives who are on your side.
Step 2: Propose. Then, have them vote to propose an amendment to the Constitution which repeals Second Amendment gun rights for all Americans.
Step 3: Ratify. Then convince the legislators of 38 states to ratify that change.
At this point, the Second Amendment is history, but you’ve done nothing to decrease gun violence. All you’ve done is remove the barrier for Congress to act.
Step 4: Legislate. You need to enact “common sense” reform.
You can try to do what Australia did and…ban all guns? That’s not at all what they did, but whatever, fuck it. Go big or go home, right?
It will have to be passed by Congress and signed by the president.
Great! The law is passed and guns are now illegal. The only thing left to do is…
Step 5: Enforce. Guns won’t just disappear because you passed a law. You need to confiscate some 350 million guns scattered among 330 Million Americans.
Sure, you can try a buy-back program like Australia, but like Australia that will still leave behind anywhere from 60 percent to 80 percent of privately owned firearms.
The rest you have to take.
You’ll need the police, the FBI, the ATF or the National Guard—all known for their nuanced approach to potentially dangerous situations—to go door-to-door, through 3.8 million square miles of this country and take guns, by force, from thousands, if not, millions of well-armed individuals. Many of whom would rather start a civil war than acquiesce.
So inevitably gun violence, which is currently at a historic low, will skyrocket.
But that is how you get a gun-free America in five easy steps.

OK, let me say that I do get the point of the article, and video. I do want to say that I am not a cop hater. The police officers in our cities are citizens just like we are. They have families that own guns just like we do. Hating on cops is not a way to approach this situation, as police officers are not the enemy. It is very clear that watching obama, and others, bash our freedoms is causing lots of anger. I do not believe the gun haters will ever find a way to actually go into… Read more »
Them stopped being US, when they usurped their oath to the Constitution…

This article by produced by Austin Bragg for About Reason TV seems very well done and worthy of passing on or recommending but that won’t happen by me. When the commentator uses the “F” bomb he steps from the conservative side of the gun argument to the “shock radio/TV” side of the issue. As a man thinks he speaks. If a man can’t have a conversation without the need for a censor, then he has nothing to say. Get this: little men use vulgar and offensive language. Clean up your act or stop talking.
That is not how the government would go door to door to get guns. They would announce that you have child porn on your computer or would say you were wanted for tax evasion or hitting your wife. That way the neighbors with itchy trigger fingers don’t come to your aid, and they would have public support.
Well, that is one way to do it, but that is an overt approach, and easily stopped. What they’ll actually do is add more crimes to the list that prevents you from owning one now. So one day, if you jay walk (that demonstrates your hatred of government) you will lose you rights to own a gun. You may think it silly, but it continues to happen.
I think most on this page are missing the point. Read it again. “All you have to do is” the point. How many in Congress would vote for such a law? How many states would ratify such a bill? Don’t you get the point? It doesn’t seem to me the “point” has been taken in full context here. This point to which I refer to is the same thing as a screen door in a submarine. Get it? Oh, the idiotic ramblings of a few. this will be my last attempt at commenting as it won’t be posted this time… Read more »
And don’t forget about putting all the people in the gun related industries out of business. Yes , raise the unemployment rate.
All they need is one more liberal SCOTUS. They can then redefine the 2nd. The most important reason to have a true gun rights president
IF the government could confiscate all the guns of law abiding citizens – IF – remember all the other laws passed that have been so successfully enforced, such as prohibition, war on drugs, illegal immigration, gun running supported by the Eric Holder type traitors. So that means that only the cops and criminals would have guns. Wouldn’t everybody then feel a lot safer? I’m sure Bloomberg would, ditto Schumor the schmuck, and many other anti-gun politicians. Of course, their body guards would have guns and some of the anti-gun politicians would also have guns for their own protection. What a… Read more »
In the words spoken at Lexington Commons by Capt. Parker to the Minute Men at the approach of the British Regulars on April 19th, 1775 – “Stand your ground – Do not fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war then let it begin here.”
Would not end well.
It sure won’t…for THEM…

Nope, they are still ‘US’ regardless of the Constitution. ‘YOU’ don’t get to decide who is ‘US’. Grow up.
Was the author ever a sworn police officer? If not (as I suspect) he should keep his yap shut about the ‘nuanced approach to potentially violent situations’ by the police. In the vast majority of such situations there is ZERO force used by the police and the situation ends peacefully for all involved. Don’t badmouth unless you have walked the walk.
go stuff another doughnut in your pie-hole piggie …
Have your parents change your diaper and put you to bed. After your nap leave the posts to the adults.
Ruby Ridge, Waco and numerous other actions would like to talk to you.
While it is a fact that the normal walk-the-beat LEO is pretty well able to handle potentially violent situations well, when the Feds get involved, all bets are off. Even local departments tend to go overboard with military-armed SWAT teams going after low-level drug dealers. Too often, they attack the wrong house (they can’t even read street numbers and house numbers?).
Even low level drug dealers can be heavily armed. Want me to go to YOUR job and take away your safety gear? And police don’t ‘attack’ houses. Once again, keep your yap shut unless you have walked the walk. Just because you own a TV set does not make you an authority on police work.
Clark or should I say Barney Fife, oops I met Paul Blart the Mall cop. You are probably a unarmed security guard that could not make any police force because you’re a mental moron. You and I and everybody else in America knows the Poe Poe are the most violent criminals in America. There may be a few good ones but I’m sure you’re not among them because you’re not really a cop. All the author was stating was how it would be and what it would take if guns were banned and you know when there are firearms involved… Read more »
Your laughable, pathetic post shows what an immature juvenile you are. Leave the posts for the adults.
Sounds more like a plan for population control… which is why places like CT and NY are afraid to enforce their repressive new laws. Gun owners outnumber LEOs by a wide margin, and I have no reason to believe that they would not “object” to something like this. The 2A does not grant the right, it only acknowledges the right as natural. Delete it from the Constitution and the right remains.
“The 2A does not grant the right, it only acknowledges the right as natural.” That’s quite true! But it is also designed to prevent the government from legislatively attacking/revoking – and actually requires the government to PROTECT – that “natural” right.
And the government that represents us is doing such a bang up job at defending the Constitution (All of it.).
The thought of mandatory buyback they fail to account for 200 years of arms , ammo , accessories scope etc , say average value of $1500 total for each firearm . Yes many will be much higher like $100k . Some people have $10 million collections. 300 million times 1500 equals 450 trillion dollars , now where would government get that kind of money? If they are gonna buy the guns ammo goes with it , plus scopes , mags , bags all of it . The Federal Budget is only like 4 trillion. Stupidity and illiterate government employees that… Read more »
Where will the Government get the money? Why Print it of course. A Dollar is only worth about $0.10 compared to the 1950’s.
If the guns are outlawed than what of the factories and stores that it will shut down and millions of $$ the gov’t gets form taxes of the property and sales of all the guns sold. The gov’t will loose one large chunk of revenue. Not counting millions of people unemployed. There are factories that are move to states that are more conservative that will get their taxes. Like Magpul thinking of moving from CO. to TN. or TX.

“… this isn’t Australia or Britain…” True! Besides, the anti-gunners who point to Australia (as a supposed example of – what they deceitfully call “effective” – gun control legislation) very carefully and absolutely refuse to publicly acknowledge several relevant facts. In the first decade after Australia’s gun “buy-back” fiasco, Australia’s murder rate did – technically – decrease… but only by a very tiny number! The annual average dropped from 2199 before the buy-back to 2190 after the buy-back… an average drop of only 9 murders per year (which is statistically irrelevant!). In exchange for this miniscule improvement, the country’s overall… Read more »
