Wisconsin -(Ammoland.com)- Everyone has heard of George Orwell’s book Nineteen Eighty-Four and the telling of the tale of Big Brother.
Big Brother is the omnipresent government that knows everything and controls everything through public manipulation and surveillance. Enforcing a cultural and structured society that the average person has little or no control over the way they conduct their lives.
The book was written in 1949 when there was just the fledgling beginning of TV.
No real idea someday everyone would have access to their own camera systems that could go almost anywhere and collect data anytime without personal, corporate or government controls.
Big Brother is about “the Government” having all the power through constant electronic surveillance.
Little Brother:
Little Brother is about the geek neighbor boy buying his own drone aircraft. He then flies it over your gated back yard where you think you have privacy. Your teenage daughter and her womanly shaped friends are sun bathing in the back yard with their tops off. They think they are safe from prying eyes, but no. Geek-boy uses the drone and the camera on board the aircraft to take pictures of your daughter and her friends.
Before they can check their online social network account for the fifteenth time that day, nude photos of your daughter are out there never to be recalled. These girls did nothing wrong. They were not engaging in some kind of deviant sex act that warranted the world being advised of their goings-on, so we could be forewarned to protect ourselves from sin and depravity.
Today’s technology can make anyone a light-weight terrorist. Up and coming technology will enable geek-boy living next door to have the ability to attack not just your topless daughter’s reputation, but nation states.
Ammoland.com was hacked, and it put them off-line for most of a business day, meaning loss of advertising revenue. In tracing the attacker it was believed to have originated in Iran, but maybe not. The ability to make the online attack appear to have come from somewhere or someplace else is just getting too easy.
So what if instead of Ammoland.com the “bad-guys” attack the electric grid of the entire east coast of the US. Cut off power and people start dying almost instantly. At first our (what we perhaps wrongly believe) government is able to track down who they think is the alleged nation-backed group who has crippled a major part of America. Do we launch a reprisal attack on that bad-nation’s real estate and kill many of their nationals?
Only to later find out that a geek-boy on steroids (electronic steroids) along with a few of his friends were actually the ones who caused all the death and destruction on US soil, and the nation we wrongly accused and punished with a B-52 bomber strike that was innocent.
We are sitting here in the US waiting for the Chinese new (alleged) world class navy to show up on our west coast, or some of Putin’s Bear bombers to fly over Seattle on a reconnaissance flight just to show us they can.
Violence in the US in the future is coming from with-in. Violence perpetrated by individuals or small groups with a “cause” who have mastered the tech skills to shut down utilities, disrupt clean water flow, disrupt the distribution of food and medicine, and snarl the evening rush hour traffic of Chicago, New York and LA on the same day. Now if our own geek-boy, mad scientists can do this from their basement think of the possibilities when you have the money and power of a nation-state or a global corporation who just wants “more.”
The number one thing a nation’s government has to do is keep that nation safe. The economy can be poor, the school system can be weak, there can be some level of every-day regular crime and the “people” will still put up with their leaders. Let the masses believe they are unsafe and potentially in danger, and that the government cannot fix it, this is when governments fall and sometimes so goes the nation.
Now imagine geek-boy and his crew caused this. Geek-boy does not have to been an American. His cause can be religious or internationally political or just because he is mean and has the means to cause the major damage. As the geek-boy/Little Brother manifested crisis starts, lots of geek-boys will be rounded up by Law Enforcement.
I am concerned when the public feels unsafe it will over look the fact its government is potentially violating American’s rights in the name of safety. All geek-boys are not bad. Do we lock everyone up we have to until we feel safe again? What if they lock up your geek-boy son on the charge he is a home-grown terrorist, when all he is really doing is spying on the girl next door?
Also if your geek-boy son is “bad” you may find yourself in the back of a Homeland Security Police vehicle. What happens if an Asian, or a Russian or a Muslim geek-boy/Little Brother commits violence on his own home turf, but makes it look like it came from the US?
It is something to think about, right? God bless the USA.
