West Valley City, UT -(AmmoLand.com)- SilencerCo, the leading firearm silencer manufacturer, announced four new products at their annual themed launch event.

Two will be available in October 2015 and two will be available in 2016. Product announcements and demonstrations were held in Key West, FL on a private catamaran during “Maxim Vice” – a nod to not only the event location and theme, but also to Hiram P. Maxim, the inventor of the silencer.

Unveiled at the event were two silencers, a rail mounted rangefinder, and most notably, an integrally suppressed 9mm handgun – the first of its kind.

The first silencer announced was the Osprey Micro, a rimfire silencer that is user-configurable from 4.6″ to 3.1″ and is the most versatile, shortest, quietest, and easiest to clean .22 caliber silencer in existence. The Osprey Micro is shipped to the customer in a 4.6″ length configuration, and can be easily shortened to 3.1″ by removing baffle segments. Due to its eccentric design with a flat sight plane, the Osprey Micro is compatible with factory sights and can be holstered. This product will begin shipping in October of 2015 and has an MSRP of $599.

The second silencer announced was the Hybrid, a jack-of-all-trades product. The Hybrid is compatible with pistols, rifles, and submachine guns in calibers up to .458 SOCOM and .45-70. Versatility is one of the main selling points of this silencer, as it can be attached via direct thread mount, piston adapter, and fast attach adapter. SilencerCo is not releasing more information beyond these details until January 2016.

SilencerCo Weapons Research (SWR) unveiled its first product – the Radius, a rail mounted rangefinder. Capable of ranging out to a mile on a reflective target and attaching to a Picatinny rail in any orientation, the Radius will have an MSRP of $999. Additional features include a user configurable display, continuous ranging for 12 hours with (2) CR123 batteries, and extreme durability. SWR ‘s stated goal is to bring advanced technology to the public at an attainable price and there will be additional products unveiled in 2016 that enhance the shooting experience. The Radius will begin shipping in October of 2015.

The biggest announcement of the event was the reveal of the Maxim 9 – an integrally suppressed 9mm pistol. Never before has anyone successfully managed to produce a handgun with an integral silencer that is holsterable and hearing safe with any factory ammunition. SilencerCo is keeping final product specifications under wraps as the finished product will not ship until 2016, but one thing is certain – the Maxim 9 will forever change the way people think about firearms as they realize that there is no longer any reason why guns have to be loud.
