Illinois –-(Ammoland.com)- Last Saturday night a would-be robber entered a store on Chicago’s Southside.

He threatened a clerk and when another employee appeared, the robber pointed the gun at her and ordered her to the back of the store, which serves as a currency exchange.

At that moment an armed concealed carry license holder opened fire and killed the would-be robber. Everyone else was ok.

The robber had an extensive criminal history – no plea bargains this time. No charges are expected against the concealed carry holder.

Now the armed robber’s family is complaining he was shot too many times. I kid you not…

The good news about all of this is that other felons or wanna-be felons just got a message, compliments of the Illinois Concealed Carry Law. They won’t all understand, but some will. Those who don’t get it, may have their own opportunity educated somewhere along the line.

Speaking of bad guys, President Obama is about to release a group of prisoners without interviewing any of them, as normally happens in a parole process.

They are just going to be let out. I am sure you and I are going to encounter one or two of them sometime down the line. Scary.

A few friends of mine just returned from a European vacation. Since they are history buffs, they visited museums, cathedrals and other historical sights. The first of their real educational opportunities came when they were in Budapest. They were at the train station when groups of Middle Eastern refugees stormed the railway station and tried to take over the trains; they were demanding to be taken to Germany. The second opportunity came in Amsterdam. They were waiting in line to go through security when a group of 32 Syrian refugees were marched right around security and boarded the same plane to Chicago. Upon their U.S. arrival, all disembarked, including the 32 Syrian refugees. They have since disappeared into the City of Chicago and surrounding suburbs or who knows where.

Remember: this happened in just one place, in one hour, in just one day. My guess is that this occurs again and again.

I keep mentioning the City of Chicago has a drug problem that fuels all the violence. In September the Chicago Police Department raided a small boarded up bungalow on the West Side. It was a crack house. How many crack heads do you suppose were in this small bungalow? If you guessed 66 you won the jelly beans. How many were arrested or detained? If you guessed zero, you won another bag of jelly beans.

This is a perfect example of why gun owners should not take blame for any of Chicago’s violence. It’s theirs – they own it.

resistance is futile

In china they charge the criminals family for the cost of the bullet used to execute him. The anti gunners charge us for everything else to increase our costs for gun ownership so why shouldn’t we charge them for all legal uses of a handgun? I would guess Obama would not want us to emulate another country in this respect.

Eric

People forget crime scene cleanup can be expensive , a carpeted area , well, .. is done , rip it all out . Some states a crime scene crew must cleanup human remains and blood pools , can you say ripoff. Now you might understand why I say sue the robber to recover costs .

Judge: And why did you shoot the perpetrator 6 times?
Answer: Because when I pulled the trigger a seventh time…my revolver only went “click”.

Durabo is completely incorrect at points five and six. YOU need to inform responders you are the ‘good guy’. And you should tell the police something along these lines (per Massad Ayoob): ‘The suspect was pointing his firearm at me (or the victim). I fired towards him. He went down and I (or witnesses) called the police. The witnesses are the man in the gray shirt and the woman in the red hat.’ Then you request a lawyer and keep quiet until you speak with same.

The poor murderous criminal. AH. BOO F***IN WHO. I won’t shed a tear for him.

While the VCA is up and armed:
1) Commence firing while seeking cover
2) Tactical or stress reload
3) Continue firing if VCA is still a threat
4) Keep him covered while he is down
5) Hope that someone tells responders that you are the “good guy” in the gunfight, so you don’t get shot
6) SAY NOTHING! Let the witnesses tell the story. You have a Fifth Amendment right to remain silent.
7) Stand by for a civil lawsuit from the VCA’s NOK, filed by some sleazy ambulance chaser. “C’est la vie!

One shoots until the target stops. Virtually every expert will teach that. The other day I watched a video of a man who fired 90 rounds from a thirty shot Kel-Tec, .22 magnum in 25 seconds. Two reloads were includes. A good shooter can get 5 or 6 rounds out of a decent semi-automatic handgun in one half second. A stupid might take their case. But not an intelligent one.

Not just a job; a good education and they should have helped him turn his life around and turn from a life of crime, when he held up that store he ran into the wrong place and person.

If any bullets were left in the magazine he wasn’t shot enough times. Empty, reload, check your perimeter.

Eric, you have to remember one thing the word “JOB” is cruel and unusual punishment, and by some racist.

Len

Family needs to be billed for the ammo used, that stuff is expensive.

Herb

You forgot to mention how many of the “crack heads” were white and how many were black. Same with the police – how many were black, how many were white. I know it isn’t politically correct to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, but you really ought to study that truth for where the problems lie. And pouring more good money after bad won’t solve the problem. Getting rid of crime, socialism and communism in the Chicago government would do a lot of good for a lot of people.

Eric

If the attacker still has his hand on a weapon , he is still a threat. The shooter should be thanked , the victim given a bill for all the damages. The family crying about their dead relative , well YOU SHOULD HAVE HELPED HIM GET A JOB.
