Paso Robles, Calif. – (Ammoland.com) – Weatherby Inc., legendary firearms manufacturer, announces the introduction of the Vanguard Wilderness rifle, one of the latest iterations of the Vanguard series that debuted in the early 1970s.

Since that time, Vanguard rifles have redefined the level of performance that’s attainable from a production rifle —especially budget-friendly models.

The Vanguard Wilderness rifle is accompanied with an accuracy guarantee; when using premium ammunition, it will produce a three-shot group measuring 0.99-inch or less at 100 yds. from a cold barrel. Aiding this assurance is a cold-hammer-forged, matte, bead blasted, blued finished barrel. Twenty-four inches in length, the free-floating barrel is fluted to save weight, which helps the Wilderness rifle tip the scales at just 6.75 pounds. The Wilderness rifle is also available with a drop-box magazine (DBM) as an option on certain chamberings, and this option will reduce the weight of the rifle to 6.5 pounds.

The heart of the Wilderness rifle, the renowned Vanguard action, is affixed to a hand-laminated, raised comb Monte Carlo, carbon fiber composite stock with full length aluminum bedding plate, matte gel coat finish, and spiderweb accents.

As with other Vanguard rifles, the Wilderness is equipped with a match-quality, two-stage trigger that’s user adjustable pull weight. It also has the familiar three-position safety and fluted bolt with dual-opposed locking lugs of its siblings.

The Vanguard Wilderness rifle is scheduled to begin shipping by November 1, 2015 and has an MSRP of $999. Contact your local authorized Weatherby dealer to order yours today.

Hello,
Do y’all have any reviews on the subject of the Remington 7600 vs the Bolt Action Rifles?

Wild Bill

Welcome to the site,James. Click on the Firearms at the subject bar at the top of the page, Then type in Remington 7600 in the space indicated. Personally, I hate the way that Rem. design jams a lot! just my experience.
