Michigan City, IN -(AmmoLand.com)- The Kids & Clays Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Zac Lemmon as its program director.

He will work to support a nationwide series of shooting events with all proceeds benefiting Ronald McDonald Houses.

“We went through an extensive process searching for the most qualified candidate to help grow the Foundation into the future,” said Doug Jeanneret, Kids & Clays executive director. “Zac’s expertise and experience are exactly what we need to continue to fulfill our mission working with the shooting industry, McDonald’s suppliers, and the communities they serve.”

Lemmon most recently worked for the Sportsmen’s Alliance as associate director of field services organizing volunteers, working on membership programs and facilitating special events. Before that he was the operations manager and head guide for a large hunting facility in eastern Ohio.

“I feel blessed to have this opportunity to help build a program that is vitally important to thousands of critically ill children and their families across the country,” said Lemmon. “I had medical issues as a young child and a Ronald McDonald House was there for us when we needed it. I am excited for the chance to now help children and their families improve their lives through the generosity of McDonalds suppliers and the outdoor industry.”

Since its inception in 1999, Kids & Clays Foundation supported events have netted over $15 million to benefit Ronald McDonald Houses. The Houses provide a “home away from home” atmosphere for thousands of families every night during their time of need enabling them to be close to their sick or injured child.

The Foundation fulfills its mission of “aiming to improve children’s lives” by partnering with shooting sports enthusiasts and companies to generate funds to support Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms, and Mobile Medical Units. Kids & Clays is the Charity of Choice of the National Sporting Clay Association, the Amateur Trapshooting Association, and the National Skeet Shooting Association.

Lemmon holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Science from the University of Mount Union. He was also a starter on their 2008 National Championship football team. He is an avid shooter and outdoor enthusiast and resides in east-central Ohio.
