Washington, DC – -(Ammoland.com)- Playing fast-and-loose with the facts isn’t anything new for Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, who has been known to twist a fact or two (hundred) in the past. Now she appears to be simply making stuff up. For example, take the second Democratic presidential debate, held on Nov. 14 2015.

During the debate, Clinton stated: “Since we last debated in Las Vegas (Oct. 13), nearly 3,000 people have been killed by guns. Two hundred children have been killed. This is an emergency.”

As all America’s 1st Freedom readers are aware, the so-called “mainstream” media seldom look into outrageous claims about guns and gun violence. (It all part of their playbook found here.) Additionally, it’s even more seldom that they look into anything that comes from Clinton’s mouth, seemingly taking every utterance as gospel.

Surprisingly, the Associated Press decided to check Clinton’s latest claims of mass carnage in the month between debates. After some research, the AP reported that: “The claim appears to be unsupported on all counts.”

“The Gun Violence Archive has recorded 11,485 gun deaths in the U.S. so far this year, an average of just under 1,000 per month, making Clinton’s figure appear to be highly exaggerated,” the AP reported. “The archive had more detailed data for children and teenagers, showing 70 from those age groups killed by firearms since the Democratic candidates debated Oct. 13—not 200 as she claimed.”

When questioned, Clinton’s campaign cited 2013 statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and 2010 numbers from the Children’s Defense Fund—neither of which were applicable to the Oct. 13 to Nov. 14 period she was addressing.

During the debate, Clinton also stated that in the same period there had been 21 mass shootings, “including one last weekend in Des Moines where three were murdered.”

Looking into that claim, the AP found further problems for Clinton. As AP reported, “The only mass shooting recently in Des Moines was Nov. 8, when four people were shot at a night club. One was killed, not three.”

Why point this out when we already know that Clinton is a proven liar who makes up anything she wants to support her bad policy? After all, we’ve seen this behavior again and again.

I have two reasons for doing so.

First, it reminds us that we cannot be complacent. We simply must get involved in this fall’s election now—not later. If there’s one thing Clinton hasn’t lied about, it’s her disdain for gun owners and our constitutional rights.

Second, sharing two more untruths from Clinton might just turn an undecided voter or two toward a candidate with a better track record on supporting our Second Amendment-protected right to keep and bear arms.

Show this to a Clinton supporter. Maybe it will change enough minds to make a difference in the election—and for the future of our gun rights.
