Dyneema GT 60 material offers superior adhesion fifteen times more than other similar products
Ontario, CA -(AmmoLand.com)- Safariland today announced a new adhesive product for the police and military markets with its Ultra-Strong Tape.
Constructed of Dyneema GT 60 material, this heavy-duty tape offers superior adhesion, high UV resistance, and a high strength-to-weight ratio for various industrial and safety applications.
The new solid state adhesive tape from Safariland utilizes DSM Dyneema high-performance materials and manufacturing expertise to meet the need for improved strength in law enforcement and defense applications such as securely restraining suspects, enhancing safety during explosives or ordnance disposal, emergency towing or hitching, securing heavy loads, and other tactical uses.

Fifteen times stronger than existing general duct tape products, the Dyneema GT 60 material utilized in this adhesive tape is chemically inert and moisture resistant, with mechanical properties not influenced by the presence of water. This is a significant contrast to other synthetic tapes.

This tape looks to be very similar to, if not the same product, as what RV trailer dealers refer to as “belly tape”. “Belly tape” is primarily used to tape up things on the bottom of 5th wheels etc. It sticks to just about anything (especially itself) , wet or dry or dirty, it’s waterproof and extremely tough and tenacious. Go see your nearest RV repair place and ask them to sell you some. Be ready to pay for the difference between it an “duct tape”.
