Colorado –  -(Ammoland.com)- After careful thought, SOF has decided to once again endorse several candidates for this year’s NRA Board of Directors election.

Rather than me extol all of their virtues, read their biographies in the NRA magazine ballot issue when you receive it in mid-February. (Arrive Now in your mail box. )   And vote.

It really counts as only 10% of those eligible to vote do so. So your vote is important!

Below are the individuals SOF is endorsing:

  1. Mark Humphreville
  2. Tom King
  3. Richard Kussman
  4. Sean Maloney
  5. James Porter
  6. Steve Reichert
  7. Robert Sanders
  8. Steven Schreiner
  9. Cpt. Robert Thornton
  10. Lt. Col. Allen West

I am not endorsing Grover Norquist. I am voting for the recall of Grover Norquist.

    1. Reichert has my vote, and Tom King as well, if only because he’s running the NYSRPA here in pinko NY. The others I will have to look into. I’ve heard Stephen Aldstat of NY gun group SCOPE is running, though I can’t confirm that. If he is, consider voting for him, he’s one of the good guys.

    2. DANGER!!! Whoever added Robert E. Thornton to this list didn’t do all their research! I like to support good grassroots people on my NRA ballot to get new blood in every year, but I always research them online first. My first warning was when I stumbled onto these articles about NRA member Bob Thornton of Arnoldsville, GA heckling Wayne LaPierre when he came to town supporting GA House Bill 89 (guaranteeing employees the right to keep weapons in their cars):
I wasn’t sure it was the same guy, though, because “Bob Thornton” isn’t exactly an uncommon name, so I did some more googling and found this discussion about his rough tactics in the GA Shooting Sports Assoc. and also confirming it’s the same guy that opposed the bill referenced above:

I like the other names on this list (especially Humphreville), but this hothead spells big trouble. Steer clear!!!
