This is an Open Invitation to any and all shooting sports media to come join me as my guest at this years 2016 Professional Outdoor Media Association meeting.
USA – -(Ammoland.com)- Hello Shooting Media; In my job as Editor for AmmoLand Shooting Sport News I have had the luck to stumble into the graces of some very smart and generous outdoor media professionals.
Years ago these folks went out of their way to help AmmoLand.com at a time when we were just getting started in the world of outdoor media.
Besides being genuinely nice, pro-gun people, they were also well connected, and not afraid to politely school some new media guys on the gun sports scene.
The one thing many of these men & women had in common was an involvement in an organization called the Professional Outdoor Media Association (aka – POMA).
Fast forward eight years and I find myself on the Board of POMA, trying to, as they say “pay it forward”. And you need to be the recipient.
POMA’s 11th Annual Business Conference, Kalispell, Montana June 15 – 18, 2016
This year’s POMA meet-up is in the incredible outdoor destination of Kalispell Montana, June 15th – 18th 2016. Hundred’s of hook & bullet media personalities and professionals will be on hand for this rockstar event.
And I want you to come hang out with me and be my guest, I will introduce you to all the folks I know, and leave you well positioned to meet many more who will become great friends and resources to help in your current efforts.
I know how hard it is to break into a new career or industry, and this event will kick start your media adventure. I don’t care if you are a YouTuber with 100 followers, a college student thinking of a career in the shooting sports or a small blogger or experienced author, I want to hear from you and get you on my guest list.
The same goes for established industry professionals. If you’ve been looking for a chance to become involved with the Professional Outdoor Media Association and meet vetted, published, media professionals or expand your network of new talent, give me a call, I want you as my guest.
Ok, But What’s The Catch?
What do I need to attend? The only requirement is that you be outgoing, have a stack of business cards and bring your, notepad. Camera or video recorder, is optional.
What is the hook? What is it going to cost me. POMA is a membership association, paid for and funded by the members. So while you can skip joining POMA as a member (for now) when you come as my guest, you will have pay your own attendance fee. Just $265 bucks and that includes all four day’s, educational sessions, events and meals. (Students with student ID cost is only $50.00.)
Anyone that attended last year’s Bass Pro Shops Headquarters / Museum Tour, Dinner and live Entertainment, will tell you that this event alone, was worth the entrance fee.
