Colorado – -(Ammoland.com)- “New details have emerged that an agent with the FBI’s elite Hostage Rescue Team may have opened fire on Robert “LaVoy” Finicum”, one of the leaders of the standoff in Oregon in January, The Washington Post reported.
When authorities tried to halt the vehicles leaving the standoff with the leaders of the standoff inside, an altercation with foggy details ended in two Oregon state troopers killing LaVoy.
Eight survivors were arrested.
The new details include the conclusion that “FBI HRT operators fired two shots as Mr. Finicum exited the truck, and one shot hit the truck.”
The trouble is, the FBI agents who fired the shots never disclosed the fact that they had fired them. The agents denied firing assault rifles, but an Oregon State Police officer testified that he “spotted two copper-colored rifle casings near the spot where the FBI agents were standing,” that were used by the highly specialized Hostage Rescue Team, not the Oregon State police.
Those copper casings were never recovered, the Washington Post reported. But the FBI footage showed the agents with flashlights searching for something. One of the agents bent over and picked up an unknown object on two occasions.
The FBI agents are under a criminal investigation. The new facts that have emerged could incriminate the agents as far as covering up some of the facts and actions they took. It is important to note that the investigation is not focusing on whether the FBI agents shot LaVoy because those shots did not hit him, but rather on whether five of the agents engaged in a coverup of at least one FBI agent having fired at LaVoy.
A prosecutor has found that the shots by Oregon State Police officers that did kill LaVoy were justified because the officers were in feared that LaVoy was reaching for a gun. In the video you can see LaVoy taunting the police officers, “You can go ahead and shoot me. Boys, this is gonna get real. You want my blood on your hands? Get it done. Because we got people to see and places to go.” (See Video Above)
“An FBI agent is suspected of lying about firing twice at Robert “LaVoy” Finicum and may have gotten help from four other FBI agents in covering up afterward, authorities revealed Tuesday,” Oregon Live reported.
“The question of who fired these shots has not been resolved,” said Greg Bretzing, special agent in charge of the FBI in Portland. The federal agency is cooperating with the inspector general’s investigation, he said at a news conference.”

There are all kinds of lies being told by the govt, both from the OSP and the FBI. At the press conference they said Mr. Finicum had lots of room to stop and they said it was something like 865ft. Someone went out there and physically measured it at ~326ft. You can go to google earth and verify the distance yourself, I did, and it is pretty close to the measured 326ft. Why would they lie? If you confuse the Oregon State Police and the Deschuttes County Sheriff with “the govt”, then you are every bit as imbecilic as you seem. The line of sight diagram was publicly released, as was the bullet trajectories and distances. The first bullet was not fired until Finicum’s truck was 325′ away – well after Officer #1 saw it coming at a too high rate of speed to stop. Mark McConnell was NOT at the scene of the Finicum shooting, so his testimony is as fabricated as that of Shawna Cox and Victoria Sharp – both of whom were outed as liars by Cox’s own cellphone video of the incident.

The investigation was conducted by the Deschuttes County Sheriff’s Office, and its findings were objective, fair and transparent. I thought you gun fetishists and 2nd Amendment extremists like county sheriffs.
