Cedar City, UT– -(Ammoland.com)- DoubleTap Ammunition today announced its agreement with Colt’s Manufacturing Company to exclusively produce and distribute two new lines of ammunition for Colt. The Colt branded ammunition will include a product line developed for personal defense aptly branded “Colt Defense“ ammunition and another, designed for the discriminating competition shooter, branded “Colt National Match“ ammunition.

Developed from the ground up by DoubleTap’s own ballistics and development team, the new line of Colt Ammunition will be manufactured in the same facility using the same equipment that produces DoubleTap’s premium lines of ammunition. One of the unique aspects of DoubleTap’s production process is that although their ammunition is produced on state-of- the-art machinery, every single round is hand-inspected and packaged, a feature usually only found in custom ammunition loading operations.
DoubleTap worked tirelessly to develop this new product line, “We wanted to create something that not only provided top performance in all firearms, but that would really shine in a Colt firearm,” said DoubleTap’s Founder and CEO, Mike McNett. “Throughout the development process, we continually checked fit, function, and ballistics in a range of Colt’s products to ensure maximum performance. The initial offering in the Colt National Match Ammunition line will include Full Metal Jacket (FMJ), Match loadings in 9x19mm (124gr.), 10mm (180 gr.), .45 ACP (230 gr.), .223 Rem. (62 gr.), and a .308 Win. with a 155 gr. Sierra Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet. The initial offering in the Colt Defense Ammunition line will include loadings in .380 ACP (95 gr.), 9x19mm (124 gr.), 10mm (180 gr.), .45 ACP (230 gr.), and a .223 Rem. (62 gr.) all with special, Bonded Jacket Hollow Point bullets.
