Washington, DC – -(AmmoLand.com)- On January 4, 2016, the Attorney General signed ATF Final Rule 41F – Machinegun, Destructive Devices and Certain Other Firearms; Background Checks for Responsible Persons of a Trust or Legal Entity with Respect to Making or Transferring a Firearm which goes into effect on July 13, 2016.

The goal of this rule is to amend the National Firearms Act (NFA) regulations to ensure that identification and background check requirements apply equally to individuals, trusts, and legal entities that apply to make or receive NFA firearms.

Ditto. Got two more Form 1’s in before the new rule took effect. What a slap in the face this whole business is. This ruling will prevent ZERO criminals from making suppressors and SBR’s. The only thing this will do is to slow down an already ridiculous process for law-abiding citizens to exercise their rights. The BATFE needs to be abolished.
