Canyon County, ID -(AmmoLand.com)- The City of Buhl is REFUSING to update their firearm’s ordinance and bring it in compliance with Idaho law.
The ISAA has tried since November 2014 to get Buhl to update their ordinance and they are refusing to do so! What would happen to you and I if we refused to comply with state law?
To date, the ISAA has helped over 40 cities and counties re-write ordinances or take down illegal signs that were in violation of Idaho’s Preemption statute.
Buhl is NOT one of them!
Just last week the ISAA launched a campaign to help educate citizens about Buh’s refusal to update their ordinance. We want to encourage the City Council and Mayor to do the right thing and make a simple adjustment to their ordinance.
Even the Buhl Police Chief tried to give them a suggestion on how to change it but he was also ignored.
That is why we need YOU to take action TODAY!
City Hall is now open for phone calls. You are likely to get the City Clerk. You can leave a message with her or ask to speak with one of the Council Members or Mayor. Because this is a small town though it is likely that you will be leaving a message as the Mayor and City Council usually have their own jobs and do city work on the side. So be polite to the clerk but firm in your demand that the ordinance be updated.
Call 208-543-5650 and tell the city to change the ordinance!
You must also email the City Council and Mayor TODAY:
Your email can be simple, “Hi, my name is (your name here) and I have learned that you are refusing to change the city firearm’s ordinance to be in compliance with Idaho’s preemption law. I am writing to you today to demand that a self-defense exception be added to the ordinance. Thank you!”
Change will only be made when they know citizens are not happy with their decision making.
That is why it is imperative that every single person receiving this email make the phone call and do the emails!
