United States -(AmmoLand.com)- I was in Zion, Illinois at a fast food drive through. After paying for my food I had to pull my car up past the service window, and wait to have the meal delivered to my vehicle.

A senior Zion police department officer walked up to hand me my food. They were requesting donations for a Special Olympics fund raiser. I told him I was an auxiliary police officer in suburban Milwaukee County. We quickly chatted about law enforcement and then I stated the concern that tomorrow our town and police department could become Ferguson, as in the riots and violence of Ferguson, Missouri.

The Zion copper’s expression changed and he advised me they worry about the very same issue at his police department.

A simple traffic stop for a busted tail light that could go wrong, dead wrong and now your town is Ferguson and on international news. This conversation happened only a few days after the shooting by a Milwaukee police officer of a young armed black man that generated the excuse for two nights of rioting, looting and total destruction of a number of businesses in Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee police department has devices called Shot-Spotters. These electronic listening tools can detect and locate the sound of gun fire. It was reported that forty plus gunshots were detected the first night of civil unrest. One talking head on Fox news was explaining to the viewing public how great it was that with all the shooting, looting, burning, vandalizing and terrorizing, none of the police on scene used any deadly force.

The TV reporter thought it was great that the cops, did not fire a single gunshot, deploy any pepper spray, or rubber bullets or take any of the violent offenders down with a Taser.

What was left out of his analysis of the desperate situation was that three gas station employees were trapped inside a BP gas station as looters broke in and raided the building. Supposedly the employees were in some kind of secure room so the domestic diverse terrorists could not get their hands on the innocent staff.

Imagine your home is invaded by domestic terrorists, but you retrograde to your bathroom and lock yourself in for alleged safety. You can hear the terrorist ransacking your home, damaging your property and then smell the smoke as they light your house on fire.

Do you really think you are safe, locked in your bathroom?

Even if the terrorist know you are there and ignore you for the sake of taking more loot, would that make you feel better? You find out later that law enforcement was right outside your home all that time, but the senior leadership failed to deploy their officers, to allow them to enter your home and attempt to save you, perhaps by the use of force and heaven forbid deadly force.

Only when your house was engulfed in flames do the police make the effort to confront the domestic terrorists to try and save you from burning alive. This is what happened at the BP gas station.

It does make you stop and wonder how the violent criminal assault would have played out if those BP gas station employees had been armed, trained and drilled in crisis action techniques on how to defend themselves (not the property of the gas station business) if they were trapped by domestic diversified terrorists.

You live in the only nation in the world that you have the right to keep and bear arms to defend yourself with.

Private Citizens are not trained or expected to stop a terrorist assault or rogue armies or even bands of diverse youths out for a night of fun through criminal intimidation and action. However, there has to be a new and strongly emphasized plan of action for delaying the bad guys until law enforcement has arrived to help. Now, if law enforcement is already standing outside your home or business under assault and not reacting to the violence being perpetrated on you then perhaps your delaying tactics and actions will need be more aggressive and intense.

If you are a nonviolent diverse minority business owner then you need to understand you are a potential target for the violent prone diverse minority members who see you as a successful business person of “color” who is ripe for the pickings during the next civil unrest.

Some immigrant cultures that have moved to the US have found and embraced their 2nd amendment right. I recall when the rioting was going on in Ferguson, MO that the Asian beauty supply business in that town was proactively guarded around the clock until the violence ended by well-armed and what appeared to be well-trained members of the Korean-American community.

It appeared that diverse minority members of a violent culture tend to back off and look for less prepared victims when they come face-to-face with a delaying action by armed, honest Americans who want only to be left alone. If a show of force without actually using force will accomplish the delay that the honest citizen needed, then that is all one could hope for

Remember an attempted show of force to delay violence directed at you, that you are not prepared to back up with actually aggressive actions—may blow up in your face.

Never bluff someone with an empty gun because you wrongly felt that was all it would take to scare the bad guys away. Worse yet, never bluff someone with a loaded firearm if you have no intention of possibly having to engage that person with that loaded firearm. They may just take it away from you and were does that leave the safety of your fellow employees or your family?

If you pull it out, be prepared to fight it out.

How will you delay violence that is headed in your direction? Cell phones and calling 911 did not get those BP gas station employees out of the violence very quickly. The Milwaukee violence was in a fairly small contained number of city streets. What if twenty or thirty blocks of your city are going up in flames because diversified led violence is raging in your town? There are not enough cops in your state to stop that crisis without using force and most likely deadly force.

Where will your family be standing or hiding when that is going on, and can you create a delay that will hold back the tide of Godless crime descending on your home until the cops show up?

Delay and repel violence. You have to be able to mount a defense or your family will lose.

The various small arms are definitely a must for self, family and property defense. I would put it to you that Cherry Bombs, or similar fireworks dipped in glue and rolled in BB’s, air gun pellets or small ball bearings and let dry then at least one more coating. These landing in among the “baddies” will have a very debilitating effect. They can be launched by using small hand held at a Lata style throwers, also. There are other items I am prepared to utilize. Just use your imagination

RidgeRunner51 – Again you must be smoking some good stuff. Law enforcement as well as most public service people get random drug test now. How about drug test for welfare recipients? You know the one’s that sit on their ass all day taking from those that work. Yes I know not all are that way, but there are way more of them that police that do drugs. Voting rights, this country binds over backwards to allow dead people to vote. Yes it is documented so don’t even start. The only reason we are become a despicable country is because the… Read more »

Any town can become like Ferguson. The ONE WAY for that to NOT happen, is to 1) perform random drug tests on the LEOs & train & retrain them on NOT murdering unarmed citizens. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand this. Just use your brain to think w/o hatred clouding your thoughts. In other countries, where people are deprived their rights (as we are now doing in the USA; i.e. Freedom of Speech & expression, Voting Rights, etc), some are sent to “re-education camps” to get it right. Being as we are becoming one of those… Read more »

@RidgeRunner51 – And what’s your ‘team’ gonna do, continue to be “wild” & “out of control” because they believe the narrative being proffered by ‘race baiters’? What about all the crime victims who had their hands up and were shot while saying “Don’t Shoot!”?

RR51, I know, lets have one day every year where there is no law nor any law enforcement officers!

“The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.”

― Jeff Cooper, Art of the Rifle

“This is not a world in which one can turn the other cheek. Doing so does not avoid violence, but rather encourages it. The bad guys threaten, but they do not seem to want to get hurt. They should be taught that their presumed victim is more dangerous than they are. This is not a matter of weapons but rather of will.” ~ Col. Jeff Cooper, April 2005

The tattoo parlor there was well defended too, and they suffered no loss either. Thomas Paine, writing to religious pacifists in 1775: “The supposed quietude of a good man allures the ruffian; while on the other hand, arms like laws discourage and keep the invader and the plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. The balance of power is the scale of peace. The same balance would be preserved were all the world destitute of arms, for all would be alike; but since some will not, others dare not lay them aside. If a Genie could magically make every weapon , not just guns, vanish the world would become a more dangerous place because self-defense would depend on physical size and strength. Women would always be vulnerable to attack since a 118 pound female is no match for a rapist that bench presses 250 pounds. The gun is not called and Equalizer for no reason. Women’s Liberation happened because Sam Colt and S&W invented small, functional handguns. A woman could carry a S&W No.1 in her apron. It wasn’t much of a gun but nobody wanted to be shot with a .22… Read more »
