My original post contained a link to a suitable first aid kit, but it got deleted. I think including links is against the blog comment rule. Anyway, I would suggest looking into Tactical Medical Solutions kits like their TacMed™ Pocket Medical Kit, the TacMed™ Tactical EMS Pouch, or the TacMed™ LAPD Kit. Another might be the Plain Clothes Carry Medical Kit from Rescue Essentials or the ITS ETA Trauma Kit from Imminent Threat Solutions. A modern first aid kit that does not contain or feature tourniquets and blood clotting materials is woefully inadequate. And when a 61 piece first aid kit contains 50 Band-Aids, that’s just hype. I would not invest in either of these kits. There are far more comprehensive and practical solutions available.

I couldn’t agree more with Jim. Any kit should at least start with the H-bandage and/or Israeli bandage which can double as a tourniquet.
