What a waste of $40! This tool might be worth purchasing if it was $15. I can do the same thing with vise grips ($10 a harbor freight).

I agree with Matt. I tried copy and paste the link but “404 not found”. Just make sure your gambrel is set high to get enough leverage before pulling the hide down. Would love to see a video of the tool in action.
If your not preserving the hide I could see it if your grip strength isn’t there. Might be better than vice grips. Don’t know why there isn’t a hyper link to it.
