HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -(Ammoland.com)- With over 22 years of service as a Department of Army Civilian, Shoot Like A Girl’s Founder and President, Karen Butler, retired on November 21, 2016 as Executive Officer, Office of the Chief Technology Officer U.S. Army Materiel Command, Redstone Arsenal.

In 2008, after seeing the need to empower women to participate in shooting sports with confidence, Karen founded Shoot Like A Girl.

Since then, the company has seen exponential growth in the number of women in shooting sports and has also had an approximate 56 million dollar impact on the shooting industry as a whole.

“I am very grateful for the success we have seen over the past 8 years. Although, it has been challenging balancing two full time jobs, I have been passionate about both, and although I will miss serving Soldiers, I am excited about the potential to make a bigger difference in women’s lives by dedicating my entire work ethic and time to Shoot Like A Girl,” says Karen Butler.

Shoot Like A Girl will be launching their brand new state-of the-art mobile range at SHOT Show Industry Day at the Range in January of 2017, a proud moment for Karen and a testimate to her achievements and dedication to women in shooting sports.

I am proud to say that I have watched this “grow” since the beginning. My Grandson served with her Husband, retired U.S. Marine, and she was there for all of us. Empowering women is and always has been her mission. Thank you Karen.
