Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- Incident in FL:

Debbie W Schultz (D/FL) said during a TV interview that commercial air-travelers on domestic flights should not be permitted to transport guns and ammunition in checked baggage, as they are now on most airlines.

The liberal media stooge doing the interview dutifully nodded in agreement, mumbling “Something has to be done.”

She contemptuously dismissed a fellow commentator who mentioned that lawful American gun owners, including LEOs, hunters, et al fly routinely, every day, with their firearms and ammunition (properly packaged per TSA regulations) in checked baggage.

Of course, the “something that must be done” self-labeled “progressives” never want to say out loud is the complete, forcible elimination of privately-owned guns in America, the demolition of our Second Amendment, forcibly stripping all Americans of all guns. That is their perpetual wet dream, and the only way they can imagine that will insure against an incident like Friday’s airport shooting in FL.

While they’re at it, they’ll have to eliminate trucks too, eh?

All of Western Civilization is enmeshed in a global War with Islamic jihadists, and in case you missed it, it’s a shooting war.

We have to fight!

Converting ourselves into a nation of defenseless, helpless sheep is the only “solution” liberals like Schultz have to offer. Thinking in any other terms is, for them, impossible.

And yet, to my ears, her assurance of “peace and protection through impotence,” is less than inspiring!

Reminds me of “Airplane:”

“Ladies and gentleman, this is your stewardess speaking. We regret any inconvenience the sudden cabin movement might have caused…. There's no reason for alarm, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your flight.

By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly an airplane?” ~ Elaine Dickinson (played by Julie Hagerty) in the 1980 feature film, “ Airplane

    1. Something must be done?? Yes!! The FBI, Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration need to be charged as codefendants in this horrible attack.
This is a case of a veteran in need of help and being turned away. Instead of using his firearm to commit suicide as about 22 vets each day. He chose to make a louder cry for help. He asked for help. CAN WE HEAR HIM NOW??

    2. The federal agencies have PROVEN they do not intend to apprehend terrorist like Mateen, his wife and this clown.

This guy TURNED HIMSELF IN and still they let him walk and closed their “investigation.” What do you have to do for DHS and the FBI to act?

      1. “What do you have to do for DHS and the FBI to act?”

The best thing would be get rid of Jeh Johnson and James Comey!

      2. AND they took 4 DAYS to evaluate him and still found no legitimate cause to help him!!!!
If you Eagle or I walk into the FBI office telling them that we are getting covert communication from the CIA to join ISIL and to spy on the whole Caliphate system we would have IMMEDIATELY been tossed in a 28 day full in patient program and then to the VA for follow up care.
Not this guy! I don’t feel bad for him but I do feel sorry for him. He did everything he could think of to fix his mental PTSD or whatever and EVERY department failed to step up and be accountable to his needs
        Co-defendants the like
        Dr D

    3. Per the record dug up in the days following this needless incident, this shooter had THREE disabling items on his record, EACH of which SHOULD have rendered him disarmed by the authorities, who HAD his guns but returned them IN SPITE of these disabling factors, known to them at the time they had him in custory:
violent physical assault upon a domestic partner (the father of his new child) and resultant charges.

a court restraining, or “no ocntact” order relating to the above, which he had also violated.

involuntarily committed to a mental institution

Laws are ALREADY IN PLACE that disarm such a person. He was a “prohibited person” for firearm possession per existing laws… but NO ONE in Alaska, incluidng FBI and DHS and State Police and County Sheriff took the legally requried action to at least temporarily disarm him. Had they done so, he could not have had that handgun in checked luggage.

Besides, considering he DID have it, suppose we were all prohibited flying with them… he could just as easily stuffed his handgun into his waistband, walked into the baggage claim area in Anchorage, pulled it out, and opened fire, killing just as many as he did in Florida., The facts of his flight and lawfully checked (though unlawfully possessed) handgun are irrelevant.

And if the gummit hooh hahs ipose TSA security to get to baggage claim, a nutjob liks this will just drive his car to the departure lane, hop out, pull his gun, and open fire on those gathering, hugging goodbyes, hurrying to endure TSA and catch their flights. Or, even walk inside to the ticket counter, or the holding queues for the TSA grope and hope process.

Nit wits… this whole thing smacks of a false flag job anyway… any bets on whether this was staged in a last ditch attempt to “do something” by the kinyun administration as their “sayonara cuts”?

    4. What if the gunman just parked his car at the airport or took a taxi or Uber,
then walked inside the baggage claim area and then started shooting citizens?

      “Something must be done” ???

You can not legislate what is inside the mind of an individual who wants to harm other citizens.

    5. Logic and liberal, emotional dribble are not same. The FBI and the VA and anyone with whom he sought help are the ones responsible for this tragedy. Destroying everyone’s rights is not the answer. Plain and simple, although for the Democrats, that is the only solution.
