NORTH HAVEN, Conn. -(Ammoland.com)- Joining the Mossberg International series of soft-shooting autoloading shotguns is a well-balanced, easy-handling 28 gauge – the SA-28 Field shotgun with handsome walnut stock and 26-inch vent rib barrel.

This gas-operated, small bore autoloader provides a low-recoiling, lighter weight option without sacrificing performance in the field.

At the core of the SA-28 is a well-designed gas operating system that vents excess gases, reducing recoil for the shooter and lessening stress on components for smooth, reliable operation. The SA-28 has a five-round total capacity (2 ¾-inch) and is housed in a classically-styled, gloss-finished walnut stock with laser-cut checkering on the forend and grip.

Complementing the wood finish is a polished blue finish on exposed metalwork. The 26-inch, vent rib barrel has a front bead sight and features an interchangeable choke tube system.

The SA-28 comes equipped with a Sport Set of choke tubes (Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder) for greater versatility. Other standard features include a handy cross-bolt safety and easy-load elevator.

Choosing a small bore shotgun for hunting, competition or recreational shooting provides for a more enjoyable day in the field and is an excellent choice for introducing someone to the shooting sports.

Low-recoiling, easy-handling and lightweight, the SA-28 delivers in performance and price with a MSRP of $654.
