USA –  -(Ammoland.com)- Doctors for Responsible Gun Ownership is very concerned about this decision.

Disregarding the amicus brief in which DRGO, SAF, and CCRKBA pointed out the applicability of the Gentile Balancing Test to this case, the court arrived at a ruling which allows doctors to say whatever they please about firearms.

When professional medical organizations are on record saying their aims are to reduce firearms ownership, we cannot trust their guidance to be objective or impartial.

The ruling gives uninformed, anti-gun doctors legal cover to abuse the doctor-patient relationship. It allows doctors to badger and misinform patients while claiming to be supported by “research” (much of which is bogus and long-debunked) thereby influencing the exercise of Second Amendment rights by potentially thousands of individuals and inappropriately swaying public opinion.

A multitude of doctors engaging in such disinformation is tantamount to nation-wide subversion of a fundamental and Constitutionally-protected right.

The 1st amendment allows doctors to lie, but it also allows you to lie. I don’t see the problem. I’ve actually found doctors who shoot and enjoy talking about guns. If you have an anti-gun doctor get a new doctor.

Exactly!!! NO reason that a doctor should be silenced about his questions on a legal basis. If you don’t like the questions either don’t answer them lie or find a new doctor. I have been a surgeon for over 3 decades and would not routinely ask patients about anything socially questionable UNLESS it pertained to their specific case. I can tell you that well over 40% of the physicians in any given community are gun owners and most carry daily even into their own hospitals in some cases against the actual law Better to carry and not need then to… Read more »

I don’t shoot and I am NEVER depressed!
Have a nice day! Bless your heart!

Although DRGO has excellent support on the 2nd Am this one they missed There is no reason to get involved with a doctor and patient relationship and if a patient doesn’t want to discuss their social life they won’t and if the doctor feels for the betterment of the patient they want to bring up an issue they should be allowed The THEORY that some will not see patients who own or carry a gun is simply hypothetical and besides who wants to be seen by someone with ANY political belief so strong that it interferes with the unbiased doctor/patient… Read more »

And we can tell the pill pushers anything we please to include but not limited to “None of your damned business”.

Honesty is not always the best policy. You have to decide, “To whom do I owe the truth?” I believe the answer would not include some medical doctor political pawn.
