U.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- The Scholastic Clay Target Program and the folks at Bourgeois Fishing Charters are teaming up to offer one-of-a kind redfish and speckled trout fishing trips at SCTP national banquets this year. Bourgeois, known for its fantastic Cajun meals and great fishing experiences, will be offering these fishing trips for attendees at SCTP banquets to bid on and help raise funds for the nationally recognized youth shooting program.

“This is a great way to showcase our wonderful facility and world class fishing,” Captain Craig Matherne, said. “We are extremely happy to help out the SCTP and support all it does for youth development and in growing competitive youth shooting across the country.”

SCTP National Director Tom Wondrash added, “SCTP athletes and coaches branch out into many other areas of recreation, fishing being one of them. We are pleased to offer these fishing trips at our banquets to raise funds for our programs and help offset associated costs for our athletes and families. We are very appreciative of this support!”

If you are interested in donating to or sponsoring the SCTP’s nationally recognized youth development and shooting program, please contact SCTP National Director Tom Wondrash at [email protected].

About Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation

The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) is 501(c)(3) public charity responsible for all aspects of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP) across the United States. SCTP and SASP are youth development programs in which adult coaches and other volunteers use shooting sports to teach and to demonstrate sportsmanship, responsibility, honesty, ethics, integrity, teamwork, and other positive life skills. SCTP was developed as a program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) until the SSSF was created in 2007 to operate the SCTP. In 2012, SSSF created the SASP and became the managing foundation of both programs.

I don’t know why they used that photo for this when it is about salt water fishing charters down in south Louisianna. I highly recomend them, although you wont see a scene like that there.
