Is it just me or is there a striking resemblance to the H&R/New England/1873 line of single shot break open shotguns and Handirifles ?

The only differences I see is the addition of a manual Safety on the left hand side of the receiver, the forearm latch being more conventional, the stock being easier on the eyes and the lack of a heavier recoil pad.

On the right hand side all the pin locations seem identical.

Is it made in America?

no, its china made. but the last few years china guns have got better. i bought 5 h&r pardner pumps and all but one was great, the one bad one worked fine but the barrel was bent as it shot high about a foot and right about a foot at 30yds. called the company to send barrel back but they wanted the whole gun and i would $60 so i just sold it.
