Hawke Optics Frontier 30SF Rifle Scope
What sets the Frontier 30 SF apart from the competition starts with the glass. Hawke uses index-matched lenses that offer exceptional clarity throughout the entire field of view. While some scopes have that one sweet spot in the center of your vision, the 30 SF has crisp, clear image transmission from edge to edge. Combine this stunning clarity with the scope’s wide magnification range and you have increased flexibility, allowing you to transition smoothly between close and long-range shots. All of the glass surfaces in the Frontier 30 SF have received 21 layers of advanced coatings for high light transmission in every condition you may run into in the field. The need for dual platforms for Close Quarters (CQB) and Long Range Precision is eliminated with the Frontier 30 SF.
The Frontier 30 SF is built on a 30mm mono-tube chassis that is machined from high-grade aluminum. It comes with the exposed Zero, Lock ‘n Stop turret that is resettable, lockable and feature a state-of-the-art return to zero feature. Being exposed, they give you easy access and, while this is a hunting scope, the design offers you a tactical style for dial-in accuracy. The side focus operates with stunning precision from 10- to 15-yards, depending on the model, out to infinity. They are fully water, shock and fog proof and are nitrogen purged, making them durable and maintenance free.
There are three models of Frontier 30 SF riflescopes, each available in two reticle options – Mil Pro and LR Dot – which are calibrated for the amount of magnification in the scope. The Mil Dot 10X has accurate mil spacing on 10× magnification. With half Mil spaced markings extending out to 10 Mil of holdover, making this a very versatile reticle for hunting and shooting. The Mil Pro 20X has accurate mil spacing on 20× magnification, with half Mil spaced markings extending out to 8 Mil of holdover. The LR Dot comes as a 16X and an 8X reticle, designed around the trajectory of a standardized 30-caliber round, such as a .308. It is calibrated out to 500 meters, but can adapt to much further ranges, making it a great all-around hunting and shooting reticle choice.
The Frontier SF 30 2.5-15×50 has a field of view of 45.3-7.5 feet at 100 yards. The 4-24×50 scope has a field of view of 28.2-4.8 feet at 100 yards. The 5-30×56 Frontier SF 30 scope has a field of view of 22.5-3.6 feet at 100 yards. All models have a generous four inches of eye relief and a red illuminated reticle controlled by a precise rheostat.
Each Frontier 30 SF riflescope comes with an easy-to-use zoom lever that is removable to allow you to set the scope up how you want it. These scopes also come with a four-inch sunshade, Pro Flip-Up Lens covers, a CR2032 battery and a lens cloth. They are backed by Hawke’s Worldwide Warranty, covering the scope for life.
