) Archie Manning, known for his athletic achievements, and country music star Joe Nichols will be entertaining attendees at the Friday evening event at the SCI’s Hunters’ Convention on February 6, 2015.
When people think of Archie Manning, they think football. But Manning’s appeal transcends his athletic achievements. He was selected Father of the Year by the National Father’s Day Council. He currently serves in public relations and consulting capacities for several local, regional and national companies, including Gatorade, Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year, DirecTV and Zurich. For 25 years he hosted four Archie Manning Cystic Fibrosis benefit golf tournaments in Louisiana and Mississippi and he is active in a wide variety of charitable and civic causes.
“Archie Manning has inspired many by his actions both on and off the field,” says Libby Grimes, Director SCI Convention & Event Planning. “His passion and drive for helping others, as well as his stories of how he became one of the most well-regarded retired athletes are sure to entertain those in attendance.”
Joe Nichols, known for his true country music with songs like “Sunny and 75” and “Gimme That Girl” will also be entertaining members Friday evening. “I am true to traditional country music and always will be. I have bled and sweat and cried country music my entire life,” stated Nichols.
