Paul Markel

Mr. Markel has a diverse background both teaching and doing. Paul served in the U.S. Marine Corps and saw combat as member of the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines.

As a veteran police officer, Markel held a commission for 17 years before becoming a full-time firearms instructor. Since 1993 Mr. Markel has also worked as a professional bodyguard protecting clients in the U.S. and overseas.

During the last three years Paul has taught Small Arms and Tactics to literally thousands of U.S. Military troops preparing for overseas deployment. Follow Paul Markel at Student of the Gun.com and PaulMarkel.com.
