Madison, NC --(Ammoland.com)- Remington Arms Company, Inc. announced today it has been awarded a contract to provide the Pennsylvania State Police with 1,200 new Model 870P, 12 gauge shotguns.

“We selected Remington shotguns after a complete test and evaluation process”, said Captain Acken of the Pennsylvania State Police. “We are excited to work with Remington to provide weapons our Troopers need. We discussed the 870’s with several other agencies and found that the shotgun we selected is the best for our use.”

In addition, courses will be provided by The Remington Armorer’s School instructors to train Pennsylvania State Police personnel how to repair and maintain the Remington Model 870P shotguns used by their officers.

Delivery of the shotguns will begin in March, 2011.

Using an included hex-head wrench, the shooter may then fine-tune the trigger-pull weight using a built-in adjustment screw.
