Madison, NC –-(Ammoland.com)- Remington is proud to sponsor the Boy Scouts of America 2010 National Scout Jamboree by providing Scouts with the opportunity to shoot one of the most trusted, best-selling shotguns of all time – the Remington Model 870 Wingmaster.

At the conclusion of this year’s Jamboree, each of these embellished, limited edition shotguns will be cleaned, inspected and made available for purchase. Remington will donate $50.00 from each commemorative shotgun sold from August 1st through December 31st, 2010, to the Boy Scouts of America with a minimum donation of $10,000.00. Remington will further support the Jamboree with the “Remington On Tour” mobile van experience and a donation of safety equipment.

This limited availability Model 870 Wingmaster 20 gauge shotgun features the Boy Scouts of America 100th Anniversary logo, laser-engraved on the receiver, and will be limited to a production number of 200 guns. Standard features include the Model 870’s legendary non-binding twin action bars; highly polished blued steel receiver; matching 28 inch, vent rib Rem Choke barrel; and handsome American walnut stock and fore-end.

Through six decades, the Model 870 has become the standard by which all other pump-action shotguns are judged and the Wingmaster is the most aesthetically-refined version of this Remington classic.

During the Jamboree, one of the “Remington On Tour” mobile vans will provide scouts with the opportunity to experience hunting video games; fast-paced video clips; an extensive gun display including all the latest models; and a chance to handle and shoulder a variety of Remington shotguns and rifles. These interactive mobile displays, wrapped in colorful hunting scenes, tour the country introducing outdoor enthusiasts, old and new, to the Remington lifestyle.

Remington will also provide shooting glasses, ear muffs and ear plugs for use during this national event. Remington customer services representatives will be onsite to clean and maintain the shooting equipment for the enjoyment of the nearly 45,000 Scouts in attendance over the course of the Jamboree.

Remington is also the manufacturer of an officially licensed Boy Scouts of America Collectible series of pocketknives, based on BSA knives produced from 1923 to 1940. Introduced in 2009, this series of five authentic reproductions ship in a hinged cardboard box design, like the original knives, and include a poster with nostalgic advertising pieces and articles. Scouts, visitor and volunteers visiting the “Remington On Tour” mobile van will receive a coupon for 50% off the 2009 Boy Scouts of

America Knife which is available through the Remington Country Store www.remingtoncountrystore.com

With anticipated attendance of nearly 45,000 Scouts and 250,000 visitors the 100th Anniversary BSA Jamboree is slated for July 26th through August 4th at Fort A. P.
