ACCOKEEK, MD --(Ammoland.com)- The latest innovation from Stoeger Airguns is the X20 Suppressor, which employs Air Flow Control (AFC) technology.

The Dual-Stage Noise Reduction System, designed by world-renowned silencer designers Humbert CTTS, makes it the quietest airgun in its class.

Unlike other airgun manufacturers that utilize only sound dampening baffles, Stoeger’s X20 Suppressor utilizes the Dual-Stage Noise Reduction System.

By combining the functions of an internal air-regulator ring and baffles that work in tandem, noise is reduced better that any other airgun on the market.

The air-regulator ring has four decompression holes that bleed off most of the compressed air before the pellet even enters the baffles. The remaining compressed air dissipates throughout the baffles further reducing noise.

When tested in a certified anechoic chamber by F-Squared Laboratories, an independent testing facility, Stoeger’s X20 Suppressor proved to be as much as 7.05 decibels quieter than the competition’s “quiet” airguns.

In velocity comparison tests the X20 Suppressor not only achieved the highest average velocity among the tested airguns, but also, produced the most consistent velocities, important for attaining optimum accuracy.

The X20 Suppressor comes with a quality Stoeger 4×32 compact airgun scope with an illuminated reticle. The scope is factory mounted with rings that attach directly to an integral dove-tail located on the top of the receiver.

“As part of the Benelli USA family of products, Stoeger Airguns benefits from advanced engineering, technology and the innovations that separates Stoeger’s serious, precision-made airguns from the toys,” said Stephen McKelvain, Benelli USA VP Marketing & Communications. “The X20 Suppressor is a modern airgun with the look and feel of a quality sporting arm.”

ROCHESTER, NY --(Ammoland.com)- Crosman® Corporation, long known for innovation and quality in products for the shooting sports, has introduced two new Crosman Nitro Venom break barrel air rifles powered by quiet and effective Nitro Piston technology.

According to Crosman product manager, Sara Calcagno, “Airguns with the nitrogen piston power plant produce 70% less noise than spring powered airguns. They also feature a smoother and more consistent cocking effort so that with one simple cocking motion, your follow-up shots are fast, quiet and easy.” Another advantage to hunters is that “with the Nitro Venom’s gas piston, you won’t lose velocity if the gun stays cocked for an extended period,” said Calcagno.

Nitro Venom air rifles feature a new beavertail stock, “designed to promote the Artillery Hold shooting position,” she said. “The wider surface area of the forearm is intended to rest on the palm of your hand, and assist with achieving improved accuracy and a balanced, consistent shot. With velocities up to 1200 feet per second and muzzle energy ranging from 18 to 21 foot pounds of energy, the new Nitro Venom break barrels deliver serious hunting power,” said Calcagno.

The new break barrels feature precision, rifled barrels with fluted muzzle brakes and sculpted rubber recoil pads. They are equipped with a 3-9x32mm CenterPoint precision scope and quick-lock optic mounting system. Available in hardwood or synthetic stock, both versions offer an ambidextrous, raised cheek piece. The hardwood version features checkering on both the grip and forearm, while the Dusk, all-weather, synthetic version has sculpted grooves on the grip and forearm. The Nitro Venom air rifles will be introduced at SHOT Show 2011, in Las Vegas and will retail for $229.

Crosman will exhibit its entire product line during SHOT Show 2011 in Las Vegas from January 18-21. Visit booth number 12740.
