NEWTOWN, Conn --(Ammoland.com)- Shotgun instructor Gil Ash of OSP Shooting School explains the difference and the relationship between “gun speed” and “target lead” in this video.

He also demonstrates the different gun mounts used for quartering birds versus crossing birds, always emphasizing that the goal for every shooter is to mount the gun in “one smooth, effortless motion.”

Remington Premier Nitro Target Loads Choice of Champions at 2011 National Sporting Clays Championship

Madison, NC --(Ammoland.com)- Remington’s Premier Nitro line of target loads were the shotshells of choice for both the National Champion and the Lady National Champion at the recent 2011 National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) Championship in San Antonio, Texas.

With a record-breaking attendance of shooters on hand and more than one million targets thrown at the event, Team Remington members Bill McGuire and Ashleigh Hafley took top honors as National Champion and Lady National Champion.

McGuire chose Remington Premier Nitro Gold Sporting Clays shotshells to score 287 out of 300 targets for his championship round. Hafley chose Remington Premier Nitro 27 Handicap shotshells for her winning performance of breaking 261 out of 300 clays.

Other notable Team Remington victories at the NSCA Championship matches include Gebben Miles and Diane Sorantino taking top spots in the Federation Internationale de Tir Aux Sportives de Chasse (FITASC) Championship as National Champion and Lady Champion, respectively. Both team members elected to use Remington Premier Nitro 27 Handicap shotshells for their victories.

Continuing their winning ways, Team Remington members Travis Mears and David Radulovich also relied on Remington Premier Nitro 27 Handicap shotshells for wins in their respective matches. Mears was awarded 5-Stand Champion after breaking 98 out of 100 clays; Radulovich earned two titles as Kreighoff Kup Champion and High All-Around Junior Champion.

“We are extremely proud of Team Remington’s performance at the sporting clays championships,” said John Bauer, Shooting Sports Manager at Remington. “Our athletes and products continue to prove their superiority by bringing home titles at the toughest of competitions.”

The 2011 NSCA National Sporting Clays Championships were held in San Antonio, Texas on October 25-30, 2011.
