Governor’s spokesman says all three bill will be signed.

Virginia --(AmmoLand.com)- On a positive note, the House of Delegates passed three concealed handgun reform bills yesterday.
Regardless of what the Senate does with the House versions of these bills, the reforms will become law with the Govenor’s signature as only one bill need pass and be signed to become law.
They are:
- SB 3 – Provides that Concealed Handgun Permits (CHPs) renewal applications may be submitted by mail;
- SB334 – Repeal of the Restaurant Ban; and,
- SB 408 – Allows an individual who may legally possess a firearm but does not possess a CHP to store their firearm in a locked compartment of an automobile or boat.
Tucker Martin, Governor Bob McDonnell’s spokesman told the media yesterday that the Governor will sign all three of the bills. The legislation will become effective on July 1, 2010.
