LOS ANGELES --(Ammoland.com)- Maximum Warrior is a one-of-a-kind competition that tests 20 contestants in 15 action-packed, adrenaline-filled challenges.

Presented by MAXIM, in partnership with the Jeep Brand, Maximum Warrior just released its 10th webisode: GATE TO GATE.

Only two warriors remained in the competition at the beginning of this challenge and by the end, U.S. Air Force Pararescueman Luke D. was crowned the 2011 Maximum Warrior.

For the final challenge, the Warriors navigated through eight target areas, beginning on the ground level of a five-floor sniper tower at the T1G military training facility. They had to run to the top of the tower, engage targets in the distance, and then run back down to the next target area. The second component of the challenge was to hit various targets on foot downrange. After completed, the Warriors ran up a berm to get to the next station where they needed to assemble an AK-47and engage multiple targets. They then used a Jeep Wrangler to assist in climbing a wall, and once over had to drag an injured rescue subject (180 lb dummy) to safety.

The Warriors were then given a short amount of time to eliminate enemy targets before they disappeared. Next, the Warriors ran to a shooting range where they needed to assemble six weapons (four pistols, one rifle, and one shotgun) and hit targets in the shooting stalls. After they finished that task, they ran into the multi-room facility where they had to scour the building, distinguish between threats and non-threats, and engage all enemy targets. The final aspect of the challenge was to drive a Jeep Wrangler through the Wadi course. Time and accuracy were both used to create an adjusted time for the Warriors.

The Warrior with the best adjusted time was U.S. Air Force 48th Rescue Squadron Pararescueman Luke D., making him the 2011 Maximum Warrior and owner of a brand new, 2012 Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: MW3 Edition.

“It felt good to win knowing I was representing not only myself, but my family and the Pararescue career field,” said Luke D.

“My wife told me I was going to win before I ever left for the competition and she was really excited when she found out the results. Also, it’s not every day that you win a prize like a brand new Jeep Wrangler, so that is a blessing financially to our family.” Impressed with the nine other military competitors in the Maximum Warrior competition, Luke admitted he knew he was in for a tough journey.

Maximum Warrior Challenges:
All 15 challenges in the 2011 Maximum Warrior series were designed to utilize the skills that U.S. armed servicemen and women need to employ on a regular basis – rapid and critical thinking, decisive judgment, excellent marksmanship and much more. Challenge 10 required the two remaining warriors, Luke D. and Drew P. to move through multiple difficult and detail-oriented tasks quickly and adeptly. In the weeks ahead, Maximum Warrior fans can see every day, non-military guys competing with the 10 Maximum Warrior competitors in five additional challenge webisodes.
