Second Amendment March in Washington, D.C.

Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore

Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore

Maryland – -(AmmoLand.com)- We will assemble on the northeast corner of the Washington Monument grounds at 10:00 a.m. The entire program will take place there. After speaking with D.C. police and the National Park Service, we decided that it would be logistically difficult to stage an actual “march”. We would rather put our time and energy into making the rally the best that it can be!

When: April 19, 2010 (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
Where: Washington Monument grounds, Washington, D.C.

For information on the D.C. area and getting around D.C., please visit the D.C. Guide.

You can find detailed metro routes (bus and rail) via the D.C. Metro Transit Authority site.

The AGC will organize a bus (or buses) to and from the event if there is sufficient interest to cover the cost. Bus rentals are expensive and must be paid in advance. The number of buses and the departure locations will be determined by the number and location of persons who wish to participate.

Look for a Second Amendment March AGC bus trip announcement next week!

Ohioans For Concealed Carry

Ohio --(AmmoLand.com)- Second Amendment March is a grassroots organization that was started in February 2009 by author and firearms instructor, Skip Coryell. Since its inception they have received thousands of emails, thousands of sign-ups for their email newsletter, and thousands of visitors each month to their web site.

The purpose of the March is to galvanize the resolve of the American people to stand up for their right to keep and bear arms and to remind our politicians that the Bill of Rights guarantees that right as an individual freedom.

To achieve this, they will hold a peaceful, law-abiding national rally in Washington, D.C. on April 19, 2010. Along with the national rally, local rallies are planned in every state, including Ohio. Each state’s efforts for the national and statewide marches are headed up by an appointed coordinator for each state. Ohioans For Concealed Carry is heading up coordination for Ohio.

SAM organizers have consulted with a professional event organizer who has experience organizing large events in Washington, D.C. and were informed that to successfully hold this event they will need to raise up to $500,000.

Please help send the right message to Washington – that passion for the Second Amendment is alive and well in America and more mainstream than ever!

Please consider supporting the Second Amendment March through a monetary donation. Every dollar helps. A challenge was recently issued for each state to raise at least $1,000 by the end of the year. We want Ohio to meet that challenge! But, I need your help to do so.

All too often, otherwise well-intentioned people make the mistake of “watching and waiting”, not wanting to get involved until it is too late. Please help us defend the one right that protects all others. America needs you!

If everyone receiving this Alert donates just ONE DOLLAR, we will more than meet the challenge goal! Let’s show the other states how it’s done! Please click here to donate through the OFCC webstore.

Then, forward this article to everyone you know who loves freedom and wants to keep their gun rights secure.

As gun owners, this is OUR march and OUR turn to be heard.
