AUSTIN, Texas — -(AmmoLand.com)- Addressing a problem already persistent nationwide, this week’s Keith Warren’s Deer & Wildlife Stories takes a closer look at how a small community is dealing with deer overpopulation in its own backyard.

Sponsored by the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance (ADWA), Deer & Wildlife Stories talks to members of a small, close-knit Texas community, who appreciate nature and love deer but who understand too that overpopulation brings many problems for themselves and the animals they love.

Also on this week’s episode, Deer & Wildlife Stories visits with Len Jubinville of Deerstore.com. With many years of farming experience, including assisting in extracting whitetail deer from the wild to serve as seed stock for domestic herds, Jubinville concentrated his efforts on creating his now highly-respected deer handling equipment and facilities. Moreover, he created these within well-planned farms, today known as ‘Nature Agri Parks’ due to their environmental benefits.

“Len is a passionate individual, and he goes into detail as to what defines a ‘Nature Agri-Park,’ what it does for the community and for the people that enjoy the pleasures of modern day nature at these parks,” says Keith Warren, executive producer of Deer & Wildlife Stories.

Deer & Wildlife Stories airs on the Outdoor Channel three times every week — Tuesdays at 9am EST, Fridays at 2am EST and Saturdays at 5:30pm EST.

Deer & Wildlife Stories Cools Off with Some Wisconsin Whitetails

AUSTIN, Texas — Farmers in hard winter climates face unique challenges, and this week Keith Warren’s Deer & Wildlife Stories gives viewers an inside look at how deer breeders take care of their herd in freezing temperatures.

Sponsored by the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance (ADWA), this episode of Deer & Wildlife Stories visits Ron and Mary Pierce of Pierce Whitetail Ranch in Sarona, Wis., and shows how deer can deal with cold temperatures and the hard labor deer farmers endure to save their deer from icy winters and starvation. This week’s episode will also feature Scar, a special deer that was a rare triplet birth.

“Scar is a three-year old  prized breeder buck that continues to battle and overcome the odds of nature,”  says show host Keith Warren. “Without the assistance of some special people, Scar would  have more than likely died due to nature’s rule.”

Deer & Wildlife Stories airs on the Outdoor Channel three times every week — Tuesdays at 9am EST, Fridays at 2am EST and Saturdays at 5:30pm EST.

Pierce Whitetails is located in beautiful Northwestern Wisconsin and have been raising whitetail deer since 1998. What started out as a hobby more than a decade ago, has become a full-time profession for Ron and Mary Pierce.
