class="wp-caption-text">TacticalPant.com

CHESTERFIELD, Mo.- -(Ammoland.com)- TacticalPants.com, the leading online destination for tactical pants, has released the most comprehensive guide ever created about tactical pants.

“We’ve really caught lightning in a bottle with this store, and it’s been a tremendous success.”

The Ultimate Guide to Tactical Pants brings together more than 30 styles of tactical pants—a list that is growing every day. The sprawling analysis investigates the nuances of multi-pocket cargo pants, laying out all the chief players in an easy-to-navigate, single-page document. Moreover, it identifies key similarities and differences between the various pant brands on the market today.

“We created this guide to give back to the law enforcement community, which comprises the majority of our customer base,” said Chad Weinman, CEO of Cat5 Commerce, owner of TacticalPants.com.

“We have created an invaluable resource that does not exist anywhere else on the web.”

Months of research went into perfecting the thorough report, which included conducting in-depth interviews with top tactical pants designers across the country. Inside the guide, a chart outlines 13 unique features of eight original tactical pants. Each manufacturer’s history and development is detailed as well as specific measurements on each pant.

“We plan on updating and expanding the guide frequently so that it remains relevant,” Weinman said. “We want to arm our customers with the necessary tools to find that perfect pair of pants based on their individual needs.”

Launched last November, TacticalPants.com has quickly become a market leader that has already sold over 33,000 pairs of tactical pants in 2010. A fully authorized dealer of Atlanco, Blackhawk, EOTAC, Propper and Woolrich, the retailer recently added Fechheimer and Kitanica further expanding its selection.

“Since going live, TacticalPants.com immediately resonated with our sizable law enforcement customer base,” Weinman added. “We’ve really caught lightning in a bottle with this store, and it’s been a tremendous success.”

About Cat5 Commerce
Founded in 2004, Cat5 Commerce develops and operates niche online retail destinations, including GunHolsters.com, TacticalPants.com and MilitaryBoots.com. With dedicated customer service and sophisticated search marketing strategies, Cat5′s core values create extraordinary web-based shopping experiences.
Tags: <a

Larry Vickers and EOTAC developed the glove after many requests from end users for a wrist length, non-Nomex version of the very popular Vickers Mid-Length Combat Glove.

The palm of the Vickers Duty Glove is artesian table cut from a selected grade of water repellent Goatskin. The construction of the palm and fourchettes (sides of the fingers) is functionally curved and fully adjustable for an enhanced grip and tactility. The back of the hand is 100% precision stretch polyester. This highly breathable soft-shell is enhanced with a durable water repellant finish; Tricot lined.

The elasticized wrist keeps the glove snug. The adjustable strap helps the user adjust the tautness of the glove. Padded protection over the back of the knuckles. Goatskin reinforcement over the back of the finger joints and finger tips for added durability.

“After so many requests from customers for a wrist length version of our Mid-Length Combat Glove, it made sense to introduce a new “Shorty” version that can be used by law enforcement officers that don’t require Nomex,” said Fernando Coelho, president of EOTAC.

The Duty Glove is available in Black. In order to further support this dynamic youth sports program, EOTAC has committed to provide a portion of the proceeds back to NASP.

The National Archery in Schools Program annually impacts more than one million fourth – twelfth grade students through an in school archery curriculum. It further compliments youth with a competitive program that culminates with a national tournament in Louisville, KY and a world tournament to be held in October at Disney’s Wide World of Sports®. The most recent NASP National Tournament featured 4,565 student archers, the largest gathering of competitive archers in recorded history.

NASP® is an organization that works with 46 state agencies to implement an archery training curriculum in over 5,000 schools in the U.S. and has expanded to Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia. Importantly, research shows that over 30% of NASP® participants express a desire for deeper participation in shooting sports.

“We are honored to supply high quality uniforms for NASP® participants and coaches as we believe that they are the most dynamic youth participation program focused on outdoor sports, said Fernando Coelho, EOTAC President. “We understand that NASP® emphasizes overall life development of these young people and feel that sharp, high quality uniforms can contribute to that goal”, continued Coelho.

“We are pleased to have a well organized, high quality uniform program for NASP® participants”, said Roy Grimes, NASP® President. “We believe this will give our archers every opportunity to have the same look and feel other high end school athletic teams”.

The joint program was coordinated by the Remington Outdoor Foundation to insure that both organizations maximize objectives. The Remington Outdoor Foundation will also be coordinating other programs to further support NASP®.

For more information about the jersey program, please log on to http://nasp.eotac.com.

About EOTAC
EOTAC Men's Operator Pant in Army Universal Camouflage Pattern

The pant is made from our lightweight yet extremely durable and fade resistant 7 ounce all-cotton ripstop. End users affectionately call this pant the “pajama pant” due to its comfort. DuPont Teflon® fabric protector provides a breathable, durable barrier that repels both water and oil based spills.

All critical seams are double-needle stitched and bar-tacked at stress points. The Action Waist has side elastic panels for freedom of movement. The 1 inch wide reinforced belt loops are strategically placed and accommodate belts up to 1 3/4 inches wide. The gusseted crotch allows for a greater range of mobility while reducing the stress around the crotch area of the pant.

There are multiple pockets to cover a wide range of uses. Two secured back pockets accommodate a wallet or ID while two larger easy access rear pockets accommodate larger gear. Like the ACU pant, there are two slant top bellows cargo pockets. They feature hook & loop closure flaps and elastic drawstring with cord lock for additional security. Inside the cargo pockets are elastic webbing loops that secure up to two 30-round magazines per pocket. The reinforced knees feature external openings with hook & loop closures for inserting foam knee pads (included). Two lower leg bellows pockets each feature a hook & loop closure flap and two chem stick holders.

“This was a natural progression for us. Our Operator Pant is based very closely on the US Army’s ACU pant. Because of that similarity in look, soldiers had asked us to offer it in the UCP. That was an easy decision to make. If it helps our soldiers, then it was worth doing,” said Fernando Coelho, president of EOTAC.

In addition to the new digital camouflage, the Operator Pant is also available in Khaki, OD Green, Black, and Navy. Sizes are available in 28″to 48″ waist and inseam lengths of 30″to 36″ (even sizes). A variation of the pattern was used by the Portuguese in Angola and over the years other versions were used on military uniforms from Namibia, Greece, Yugoslavia, and Cyprus.

After receiving numerous inquiries, EOTAC is answering the demand by introducing the Field Jacket and Field Vest in an accurate reproduction of the original Lizard pattern. The Operator Grade Field Jacket is based on the French Foreign Legion Paratrooper Jacket that originally came in that pattern, making it a perfect matchup. The Operator Grade Field Vest is a sleeveless version of the Field Jacket.

“The Lizard pattern, or Leopard pattern as the French called it, is the forefather to the famous Tiger stripe pattern used during the Vietnam War. It’s something you don’t see here in the States and with our Field Jacket and Vest, I thought it would be perfect for that retro look,” said Fernando Coelho, president of EOTAC.

The Field Jacket and Vest are also available in Coyote Brown, Black, and OD Green. The retail price for the Field Jacket is $124.99 for sizes small to 2XL and $131.99 for size 3XL. The retail price for the Field Vest is $99.99 for sizes small to 2XL and $108.99 for size 3XL.

For more information on the EOTAC line of tactical and discreet garments contact EOTAC directly at (803) 744-9930, visit an EOTAC dealer or order online at www.eotac.com.

About EOTAC
EOTAC Men's Operator Grade Mechanic Shirt

Practical and discreet for everyday use, the EOTAC Mechanic shirt is styled after the popular mechanic shirts worn by industry professionals making it low profile yet totally functional. Included with each Mechanic shirt are four different sew-on patches to help complete the workforce look.

The Mechanic shirt is made from a preshrunk and pre-washed lightweight 5.5oz all-cotton poplin that has been treated with DuPont Teflon Fabric Protector. This combination not only makes the shirt extremely comfortable to wear but also resistant to stains and fading.

The Mechanic shirt is meant to be worn untucked and features a straight bottom hem with side vents. It drapes freely, offering maximum concealment without printing. The two lower front buttons are false, disguising a hook & loop closure for easier, faster access. This feature makes accessing a holstered handgun or spare magazine both rapid and smooth by either pulling or sweeping the shirt away.

“Our goal with the new Mechanic shirt was to give customers a truly contemporary design that was lightweight and comfortable for wearing during the warm weather periods but also packed with features that today’s CCW holder is looking for,” said Fernando Coelho, president of EOTAC.

The Men’s Operator Grade Mechanic Short-Sleeve Shirt is available now and comes in three colors, Black, Grey or Navy. The first was held during the South Carolina IDPA State Championship and was a big success drawing nearly 40 shooters.

“Our first clinic was a hit with shooters, many of which saw dramatic improvement in their scores with the help of our Team EOTAC coaches,” said Yost who serves as captain of Team EOTAC. “We expect an even larger turnout at the Carolina Cup and we’re looking forward to helping more IDPA shooters advance their shooting skills.”

Fernando Coelho, president of EOTAC, explained that the concept of the shooting sports clinic evolved from EOTAC’s involvement in the shooting sports.

“When we started EOTAC we knew the competition shooter, especially in IDPA, would be an important focus for us and that’s why we formed Team EOTAC,” said Coelho. “The clinic is a natural extension of our Team EOTAC program and our way of further supporting the shooting sports.”

The Carolina Cup is one of the biggest IDPA matches and among the most popular. Officials estimate as many as 60 of the 300 competitors could take part in the EOTAC shooting sports clinic.

“We saw the great response shooters had to the clinic held at the South Carolina state match and we think we could see as much as 20% of our competitors taking part in this clinic,” said Scott Ruby, Carolina Cup sponsor coordinator.

“This is the first time we’ve been approached to host this kind of event at the match and I think it will grow to be a very popular part of the match in the future.”

The clinic is offered only to those competing in the match and slots for the clinic are still available. It is the second year in a row Vogel has finished ahead of Sevigny for the top score in the match.

This was a great match thanks to the people at Smith and Wesson and another tough battle between me and Dave. I shot real solid early on going neck and neck with him into the final stages which neither of us shot very well. Fortunately I was lucky enough to come out a little over a second ahead to take the overall title, said Vogel who won the Stock Service Pistol division title in 2008.

At Smith and Wesson we pride ourselves on our commitment to the shooting sports and our IPDA Indoor Nationals serve as a kick-off to the shooting season. I cannot think of a better kick-off than a head-to-head race between two great shooters. Our congratulations go to Bob Vogel on another fantastic victory and we look forward to seeing him back again next year when he goes for the three-peat, said Julie Golob of Smith and Wesson.

The Smith & Wesson IPDA Indoor Nationals is one of the more popular matches on the IDPA schedule and this year drew over 230 top shooters from around the country, including Vogel’s fellow Team EOTAC teammates Tom Yost and Mark Redl.
<div

His final score of 2368.0915 put him 138 points out of first and just under four points out of second.

In the team competition, Vogel competed as a member of the official U.S. squad where he joined with three fellow Team USA shooters to outpace the silver medal squad from the Czech Republic by 231 points. The Slovak Republic claimed bronze finishing 529 points behind the U.S.

“Competition in the Production division was fierce and looking back I can see where I missed a couple opportunities. I was honored to have been selected to represent the United States in international competition, and while I was obviously hoping to take gold, I’m very pleased I could bring home the bronze and help the team,” said Vogel.

A total of 30 gold medals between team and individual competition were awarded at the World Shoot. The U.S.’s 10 gold medals were more than twice that of its nearest competitor, Italy, which finished with four. The Czech Republic and Ecuador tied for third with three golds each.

Vogel’s 2008 shooting performance has made him a standout in the sport of Practical Shooting. With key wins in the Area 5 Championships, the USPSA National Championships and a strong showing on the international stage, Vogel is now ranked among the very best shooters in America making him an obvious favorite going into the 2009 season.

“This has been a big year for Team EOTAC and Bob has led the way.
