Finally I found a solution to my problem.” After many years of using the ‘old fashioned’ flannel silicone gun cloth which Rusty says would tear up after a couple of uses, Rusty spent over three years developing and testing a new gun cleaning product that took the stress and headache out of cleaning his guns. “I always knew there had to be a better and easier way to both clean and protect my guns at the same time and I finally found it,” says Rusty.

The Rusty’s Rag™ is basically two cleaning cloths in one. The hand cut sheepskin cloth is impregnated with a special silicone formulated by Rusty. “It took me forever to find a way to keep the silicone on the sheepskin that I almost gave up,” laughs Rusty. “I finally found a way to make my secret silicone formula stick to the sheepskin.” Every Rusty’s Rag™ also contains a free flannel cloth used to polish the firearm to a fine finish. Many of Rusty’s friends and fellow gun enthusiasts encouraged Rusty to share his invention with the rest of the community for their gun cleaning and protecting needs and thus Rusty’s Rags™ were born. The LG-417 is the ultimate refinement of laser sighting systems for Glock pistols. The Lasergrips encircle the polymer grip of the Glock and anchored in place by a locking-block attachment that discreetly covers the beavertail. This skeletonized design leaves the backstrap open and adds little to the width of the stock Glock grip, giving it the advantage of fitting common LE/MIL duty holsters.

It is instinctively activated by a pressure switch built into the front strap of the polymer Lasergrips. Simply grasping the firearm in a normal shooting grip activates the laser. The master on/off switch is located on the left-hand side and uses new microprocessor touch sensor switch technology versus a mechanical switch found on most other Lasergrips. Users simply press the recessed pressure switch to turn the unit on or off. All electrical components fit into the Lasergrip, which is small in size and is ergonomically designed for comfort.

Two #2032 batteries are located in the palm swell on each side of the Lasergrips, providing over 4 hours of constant-on beam time. Rubber overmolding covers both the activation button on the front strap and the master on/off switch, providing improved grip while shooting.

Another new feature of the LG-417 is that it uses the smaller 3.3mm diameter laser diode versus the standard 5.6 diameter diode that is found in most all other brands of laser sighting devices. This reduces the overall size of the laser diode housing. As with all other Lasergrips, the LG-417 has both windage and elevation adjustments for shooters to make adjustments on their own. All Lasergrips come with an accessory pack that contains batteries, hex wrenches for laser adjustments, a cleaning cloth and several cleaning swabs. A three-year warranty is standard.

Beginning with all of the finest components available held to the strictest standards, placing them in the hands of our most skilled gunsmiths, hand fitting one part at a time until it works together like a well tuned race engine. That alone makes it one of the finest pistols available anywhere, but we are not done yet. The sculpted scroll engraving on the slide is breath taking with deep and exceptional detail. While it is often said seeing is believing, when you look at the detail on the slide you will know what breath taking truly is. The beautifully engraved slide was expertly charcoal blued by Doug Turnbull Restorations bringing the engraving to life. Placing this slide atop the stainless frame makes for an exceptionally striking custom pistol.

Berryville, AR – -(AmmoLand.com)-The IDPA Nationals is just around the corner and I have yet to find any time to practice. I hope you are going into the fall shooting season better prepared than I am.

Seems like work and lack of ammo has kept me off the range. I plan to turn over a new leaf next year and get far more active in shooting again. After years of shooting every weekend and practicing any other time I could get, it seems difficult to regain that focus I once had in my shooting. I guess it happens to all of us at some point, we need to take some time off from activities to regain our enthusiasm. I can feel mine returning and hopefully spending time with everyone in Tulsa for the Nationals will kindle the fires.

This has been a strange year in the industry. At times .22 ammo was not to be found, and I understand that .380 ammo is still not available in most stores. Here at the office the ammo shortages have delayed test-fire and created all sorts of issues for us to complete the process and ship guns to our customers. I have talked to customers that are shooting ammo that they would never have purchased in the past due to shortages on their dealer shelves. Please remember that like any quality product, it requires a diet of good quality ammo.

Looking over current trends it seems like the 9mm is the current upturn in requests for pistols. I guess due to ammo prices and ease of shooting it is no wonder. The recent addition of the 9mm ETM magazine has helped that a great deal. I still remember the first time I shot a 9mm 1911; it was so much fun you would not believe. I guess others already knew how fun the 1911 could be in 9mm, I was on the back side of the bus. The largest single problem that was had by all was unavailable and poor quality magazines for it. Well the 9mm ETM helped everyone that wanted to give it a try. While the 9mm lends itself to double stack magazines, after spending a great deal of time we got it right. I was amazed how many different approaches were used over the years to get old 1911s in 9mm to work. I guess like it all started, they were modified to work with existing magazines. When we designed the 9mm ETM, it was a targeted goal of ten rounds that would feed in most every 1911 on the market. We even purchased some old pistols, dusted off some others, and put them all to the test. The results as you know are outstanding. Shells are held in place with a unique, internal Santoprene™ elastomer rib that securely retains even heavy slug shells during vigorous movement or heavy recoil. Available in sidemount (SM) or Picatinny rail (PR) configurations. All necessary installation hardware, tools, and instructions included.

Remington Sidemount is available in 4-, 6-, and 8-round capacities and uses steel-on-steel, threaded adapters that replace the trigger group pins to anchor the shell holder securely to the receiver. Remington 870 shotguns require a shortened, tactical-style forend to accommodate 6- and 8-round sidemount units. Remington 1100/11-87 require minor forend alterations to fit the 8-round model.

Remington Picatinny is a 6-round model that features an integral Picatinny rail for mounting sights, Optics, or other accessories. Wraps around the top and mounts to both sides of the receiver using the same type of attaching system as the sidemount model. Cooksville, IL --(AmmoLand.com)- Like most other gun nuts I have a problem you gunnys may well recognize. I have too many guns and not enough space to safely store them in my standard gun safe.

So what happens is I end piling them in my Gunsafe or worse yet leaving some out and hidden around the house and not in the gun safe that I paid big money for and gave myself a hernia lugging up a flight of stairs.

Rifle Rods

They are called Rifle Rods and they are one of those “Why didn’t I think of it” ideas that you will love and will revolutionize your standard gun safe while doubling, maybe tripling, the amount of rifles you can store in your old safe.

Rifle Rods are simply a 16″, sturdy plastic rod with a Velcro head. They are made to fit 22 Caliber and larger rifles and they even have 17 Caliber Rifle Rods also available.

To install, staple the loop fabric (included in the Rifle Rods Starter Kits) onto the underside of the top shelf. The Yeti’s short barrel and exhaust bore allows the air to “dump” easily when the call is blown, creating a very quick operating call.

The Yeti is custom hand-tuned to a raspier higher pitch, making it ideal for calling migrating Canada geese.

H.S. waterfowl calls combine the knowledge of decades of waterfowl hunting experience with high-quality workmanship. The result is a new standard in waterfowl that helps you “talk to ‘em.”

Each call is accented with a polished stainless steel band. The Yeti is available in oiled Cocobola wood or in a custom acrylic version with a black pearl barrel and chartreuse insert.
