Bass Pro Shops

Springfield, MO --(Ammoland.com)- Many first-time gun owners have questions about their gun in particular and about owning a firearm in general.

The recent ammunition shortages created a new interest in reloading—the process of reusing ‘spent’ cartridges. Bass Pro Shops will welcome firearm novices and enthusiasts to be a part of Gun Primer Weekend at all participating locations (U.S. stores only excluding Destin, Miami and Branson).

Bass Pro Shops has developed the Gun Primer Weekend, to provide advice and assistance on everything related to guns and accessories. During Gun Primer Weekend, Bass Pro Shops will have experienced and knowledgeable instructors to teach 35-45 minute long seminars on topics such as reloading, purchasing a gun, safety tips, carry and conceal laws and regulations on firearms.

Friday, May 13

  • 6pm “Right Gun, Right Caliber” Whether it’s a shotgun, rifle or handgun you’re interested in, this seminar will review the important considerations for a new gun purchase.
  • 7pm “It’s The Law” A complete review of local laws and ordinances. Get the facts about transporting and carrying your firearm.
  • 8pm “Reloading Basics” Why should you reload? Learn all about selecting equipment, proper reloading techniques, and tips and tricks to ensure success. (Myrtle Beach, SC and Columbia, MO will hold “Proper Gun Care)

Saturday, May 14 & Sunday, May 15

  • 1pm “Right Gun, Right Caliber”
  • 2pm “It’s The Law”
  • 3pm “Reloading Basics” (Myrtle Beach, SC and Columbia, MO will hold “Proper Gun Care”)

In addition to these instructional workshops offered during Gun Primer Weekend for new gun owners, Bass Pro Shops will be giving away Shot Lock 3000 Gun Locks to the first 50 customers on May 13th, attending the first seminar of the day. Also, on May 14th and May 15th Bass Pro Shops will be giving away Remington Moisturegaurd Gun Plugs at the first seminar of each day as well as drawing for a $25 Bass Pro Shops Gift Card at each seminar though out the event. FAIRFAX, Va. --(Ammoland.com)- During last November’s elections, NRA members and gun owners throughout the Badger State sent a clear message to elected officials that a strong Right-to-Carry law must be a legislative priority.

Residents of Wisconsin sent their legislators to Madison to secure their freedom.

To ensure we are prepared to meet the challenges posed by anti-gun forces and answer questions our members have about this legislation, NRA-ILA Grassroots will be hosting a series of workshops throughout the state. Please plan on attending to learn more about the bills, as well as what you need to do as gun-owners to assist in our efforts.

At this meeting, NRA-ILA Staff will discuss the bills, as well as what each of you need to do to ensure victory. NRA State and Local Lobbyist Darren La Sorte will be on hand along with NRA-ILA Grassroots Staff to lead the workshop.

This meeting is absolutely free and beverages and light snacks will be provided. The workshop will run about 60-90 minutes. Please make plans to attend one of our events and encourage your fellow NRA members and Second Amendment supporters to attend as well.
