Earlier this year, Sturm, Ruger & Co. introduced a special Single Action Shooting Society (SASS®) Ruger® Vaquero®. The high-gloss stainless steel SASS Ruger Vaquero comes with the lower/wider Montado style hammer found on the stock Ruger Montado.
The SASS Ruger Vaquero is chambered for .357 Magnum, features 4-5/8” barrels and black checkered hard rubber grips that contain the SASS logo.
They bear special serial numbers featuring the letters SASS followed by the numeric sequence. These special edition single action revolvers come as two-gun sets of consecutive numbers. One of these pairs will be given away to a lucky winner on December 24, 2009.
Long Hunter Shooting Supply’s Jim Finch aka Long Hunter is a world champion cowboy action shooter also well known in the industry for his action job on single action revolvers. The Ruger SASS Vaqueros come with an action job done by Jim Finch.
As warm up to this gun giveaway, 13 knives made by Chuck Stapel will be given away through the period of October 14 – December 24.
