Keynote speaker Cam Edwards of NRA News was one of the many highlights of the evening. Escorted by a camera crew, Cam and his company filmed the special events during the banquet and secured several interviews with those who were in attendance.

The fun filled event featured both silent and live auctions, as well as raffles and games. Attendees were treated to watching a <a

The high bid on the Kentucky .22 WMR Edition is already over $1,000 with several other rifles approaching the $1,000 mark. MSRP is $1200.

The online auction is live now at:

http://GunBroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=121898115

The bidding ends at 11:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, February 12, 2009. Proceeds will be donated to Farmers and Hunters Feed the Hungry, a non profit, 501(c)(3) faith based feeding ministry that enables hunters to return to their heritage as food providers.

Lincoln owned the original Henry rifle in serial number 6, which now resides in the Smithsonian and is considered a priceless, national treasure. James D. Julia, owner of the leading auction in the world for high quality and valuable antique firearms, recently said of the original Lincoln rifle, “The rifle that you are commemorating, in my mind, is probably the most significant long arm produced during the 19th century.

The fact that it is one of the first six ever produced, the fact that it was presented to one of the most popular Presidents ever in the history of our nation, and its artistry and remarkable condition all make this a truly exceptional and extraordinarily important historical arm.” He added, “Recently we sold an important Colt Walker pistol for nearly $1 million. This gun, at $920,000 is currently the most expensive single firearm ever sold at an auction in the world.”

“Lincoln was a very religious man and his favorite devotional reading spoke of being charitable to the less fortunate,” says Anthony Imperato, owner and president of the company. This auction was inspired by the words of Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address in 1865 that began, “With malice toward none; with charity for all…”

Henry Repeating Arms is the exclusive licensee, appointed by The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission, a Federal agency established to honor this great American milestone. The rifle is being produced at a limited run of 2,000 pieces.

Tribute features include a cameo portrait of Abraham Lincoln and a replica image of the Lincoln Memorial laser etched and hand painted into the American Walnut wooden stock; hand engraved replication of the scrollwork originally hand cut to adorn Lincoln’s rifle; and By The People, For The People, the words he movingly asserted as cornerstones of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.

Visit www.henryrepeating.com/lincoln200 for high resolution rifle images and logos.

About Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission
Congress established the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission to plan the nation’s celebration of the 16th President’s 200th birthday in 2009. Through education programs, public forums, and the arts, the Commission provides an opportunity to re-examine Lincoln’s legacy in our 21st century democracy. Its members, who are appointed by the President and congressional leaders, include political leaders, jurists, historians and collectors.

About Farmers and Hunters Feed the Hungry
FHFH partners with inspected, approved butcher shops who receive donated deer from hunters to be processed and distributed to local food banks, pantries, shelters and missions that feed the hungry. Financial support is raised by FHFH coordinators to pay for the meat processing expenses so that hunters can donate their harvest-and organizations can receive the meat-free of charge.

About Henry Repeating Arms<br

These priority programs were among those recommended by an industry panel convened to review proposals submitted by youth organizations in response to last summer’s National Youth Shooting Sports Program Needs Assessment conducted by YSSA.
The Hunter Education Shooting Range Facility, managed by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, serves as the hub of firearms safety and education training for the shooting sports in Interior Alaska. The facility reaches more than 20,000 people each year, including more than 5,000 youth, with their various programs and events. As budgets are reduced and utility costs sky rocket, their ability to provide adequate equipment and supplies to continue with and expand their programs is severely impacted.
The Program requested the assistance of the YSSA to acquire a diverse inventory of shooting sports equipment to continue their valuable youth-oriented programs and assist in expanding to reach more youth in the community. Among the equipment requested were twelve Henry Mini Bolt Youth .22 rifles with the orange stock option to complement the adult models previously purchased by the program. Henry Repeating Arms generously fulfilled this need by donating all of the rifles requested.
The Henry Mini Bolt Youth .22 is the perfect rifle for introducing youngsters to shooting and hunting. The Mini Bolt is ideally proportioned for small-framed shooters. The U.S.A Olympic Shooting Team was so impressed by its kid-friendly performance and bull’s eye-punching accuracy, they named it the Official Youth Rifle of their program.
Montana 4-H Shooting Sports is the 4th largest 4-H project in the state with 2,642 youth enrolled. The Montana 4-H Shooting Sports Committee conducts three certification workshops each year in different locations across Montana in order to qualify volunteers to lead county programs. The program’s greatest need is to acquire equipment for use at their training workshops. Among the equipment requested were two Henry .22 rifles with 20″ barrels.
Henry Repeating Arms responded by donating two Henry Golden Boy .22 LR rifles – a masterpiece of fine crafted gunsmithing. The Henry Golden Boy is one beautiful classic that was selected by the readers of Guns & Ammo magazine in 2001 as “Rifle of the Year.”
Henry Repeating Arms Company has served as a long-time supporter of youth shooting sports programs. Mr. Anthony Imperato, President, recognizes the importance of introducing kids to the joy of shooting and hunting as our best investment in continuing our shooting sports heritage in perpetuity.

The Henry Repeating Arms Company, a descendant of the venerable gunmaker, makes its home in a historic industrial area in Bayonne, New Jersey.
From our inception our goal has been to manufacture a line of classic, well-crafted firearms that every enthusiast would find readily affordable.
Every single part in each Henry rifle is made in America, and engineered with features that other gun makers often charge twice the price for. For that reason, our corporate motto is “Made in America and Priced Right”.You can visit Henry Repeating Arms online at HenryRepeating.com
