Pearl, Mississippi - -(AmmoLand.com)-Throughout the season, wind direction, food source accessibility and deer movement change constantly making it essential to frequently change your tree stand setup as well.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the time or the money to hang numerous tree stands, and moving one stand from tree to tree can be quite a hassle.

Thanks to the availability of extra Secure Receiver Chains with a Cam-Lock system, the Millennium M-100 Multi-System Hang-On Stand makes safely moving your stand a breeze.

Simply hang the special Cam-Lock receivers on trees throughout your property in areas frequented by deer. Then, on the morning of your hunt, pick your location. The specially designed male seat fitting slips into the Cam-Lock Receiver easily and quietly so you can be hunting within seconds. The Secure Receiver Chain with the Cam-Lock system ensures the stand is always safe and solidly secured to any location without penetrating or damaging the tree, unlike other similar models.

Designed for serious hunters, the M100 Hang-On is the ultimate platform for chasing down mature whitetails. Developed with input from the most ardent hunters, the M-100 features a comfortable one-piece Textiline® sling seat, which is UV-, moisture-, and scent-resistant and a large 38″L x20″W platform. Constructed of triangular tubing, the platform easily supports up to 300 pounds. Hefty 1,600-pound capacity platform cables keep even the “big guys” minds at ease during the hunt. Exclusively designed for The New Millennium, all-aluminum tubing and extrusions are fluted to reduce weight..

No bolts here, the stand features all-welded seams for superior strength and construction. The permanently mounted bungee strap keeps the folded stand securely closed during transport, and thanks to the feather-light, all-aluminum construction, the stand weighs only 14 pounds, which makes toting it to your hunting local a breeze.

Features:

Durable powder-coat finish

Comfortable, quiet, easy setup

GoLite, all-aluminum construction

ComfortTech contoured, tight Textilene® sling seat

Seat folds against tree providing entire platform for standing shots

Easily folds flat for backpacking

The stand and full-body harness are both TMA certified.

HARRISBURG, PA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Application deadlines are fast approaching for waterfowl hunters interested in being selected for the limited number of goose blinds at the controlled hunting areas at the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Pymatuning or Middle Creek wildlife management areas during the regular Canada goose season. A goose blind application must be submitted on the form that is found on page 26 of the 2009-10 Pennsylvania Digest of Hunting and Trapping Regulations.

Hunters may apply to only one area per year and may submit only one application, which must include the individual’s 2009-10 nine-digit Customer Identification (CID) Number.

The Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area will accept applications through the mail until Sept. 8, at: PGC Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, P.O. Box 110, Kleinfeltersville, PA 17039-0110. A public drawing will be held at 10 a.m., Sept. 9.

Applications for the Pymatuning Wildlife Management Area will be accepted through the mail until Sept. 13, at: PGC Pymatuning Wildlife Management Area, 9552 Hartstown Rd., Hartstown, PA 16131. A public drawing will be held at 10 a.m., Sept. 19.

Blinds at Middle Creek and Pymatuning will not be operational during the September season. Shooting days at Middle Creek during the regular season are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Shooting days at Pymatuning are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

A separate drawing is held for blinds that accommodate hunters with disabilities. Applicants must submit a current copy of their Disabled Person Permit (to hunt from a vehicle) issued by the Game Commission.

Also, this agency again will hold a special youth-only waterfowl hunting day at the controlled hunting blinds at both Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area and Pymatuning Wildlife Management Area. The youth day for Middle Creek will be Nov. 21, and for Pymatuning it will be Nov. 28. A special drawing of applications submitted by junior license holders will be held immediately before the regular drawing for goose blinds. Interested youth should use the same application on page 26 of the 2009-10 Digest. Only one application will be accepted per junior hunter.

Successful applicants will be mailed a hunting reservation entitling them to be accompanied by up to three guests. On hunting days, hunters also may apply, in person, for a chance at any blinds unclaimed by a reservation holder.

At its meeting on July 9, the Board of Game Commissioners gave final approval to a regulatory change to permit persons who have previously hunted a controlled goose hunting area at the Game Commission’s Pymatuning or Middle Creek wildlife management areas to make application for unclaimed blinds on the morning of the designated shooting day, but only when there exists an absence of applications for the unclaimed blinds from persons who have not previously hunted a controlled goose hunting area.

FLUSHING, MI - -(AmmoLand.com)- Gorilla Inc. introduces its new line of hang-on, steel treestands designed to provide greater comfort and portability for hang-on stand users. With innovative features such as the XPE foam seats, HX platform design, and “D-tube” construction, these stands are built to deliver a great day in the field.

Comfort: Pro Series King Kong and King Kong Lounger
If you are looking for increased comfort in a hang-on treestand, then the award winning Pro Series King Kong with zero-G seat technology or the King Kong Lounger is sure to deliver during those all-day hunts. Both feature flip-up seat designs, extra large platforms, and the advanced XLS Extreme Leveling System for secure and easy installation.

Portability: King Kong and Kong Hang-On
If you are looking for greater portability, then focus in on the King Kong and Kong hang-on treestands. Each of these sleek, single-post designs incorporate a flip-up seat design with Seat Leveling System (SLS) to aid in a quick set-up.

Still can’t decide? Not to worry as all of the new Gorilla HX series stands include the following great features:

HX Platform Design
The new Gorilla HX series features a hexagon inspired platform that provides hunters with more room around the entire platform surface. The HX design profile eliminates unnecessary edges and corners that can get caught on branches and limbs when being carried in the woods – enhancing the portability while maintaining a sense of stealth from one location to the next.

“D Tube”Material Construction
The sturdy all-welded steel construction of the 2009 line utilizes a new “D-tube” construction that creates a greater strength to weight ratio than a standard square tube. More importantly, the arc shaped “D-tube” frame structure is approximately 20-percent lighter than previous stands.

XPE Foam Seats
The new HX stands also feature a new seat design and construction for superior comfort and durability. The new XPE Tech System from Gorilla utilizes a material commonly known as Cross-linked Polyethylene (XPE). This material is a special class of closed cell foam mostly comprised of LDPE and EVA. These closed cell structured foams have a higher dimensional stability, low moisture absorption coefficient and improved strength. In a nut shell – all day comfort like never before felt.

2009 GORILLA STANDS

XT-6 Nylon Bushings
In addition, the stands incorporate Gorilla’s proprietary XT-6 Nylon bushings and washers – designed to dramatically reduce noise. These tough yet flexible thermoplastic polymer washers are reinforced for high elongation and excellent abrasion resistance. In simple terms these little washers make a big difference in the performance of the stand. They are tough, flexible and quiet.

Finishing Touches
All of the HX stands are then finished off with Gorilla’s amazingly durable and slip resistant Black Traxion coating and Mossy Oak Treestand camouflage in order to create equipment that is functional, reliable, and incredibly effective hunt after hunt.

When hunting in a Darkwoods Blind, you’ll experience peace, comfort, mobility and security unparalleled to that of any other blind. And, now you can enjoy peace of mind when away from your portable Darkwoods Blind as well. All Darkwoods Blinds now come with the optional upgrade of the new DEWALT MOBILELOCK™ GPS locator with built-in anti-theft alarms.

This innovative, wireless system monitors your blind no matter its location. Mount the MOBILELOCK on the inside or outside of the blind. Vibration sensors can then be activated to alert if the blind is being stolen or vandalized, and a door-contact sensor can be activated to alert if someone enters the blind.

The user simply places a phone call or goes online to arm the MOBILOCK unit. He or she can also program an arm/disarm schedule. If one of the built-in sensors is tripped, the MOBILELOCK alarm is triggered and the siren is activated (can be silent if preferred). Within seconds, the user receives a phone call or e-mail alerting them of the situation. Up to three people can be called as well as three text messages or e-mails sent.

MOBILELOCK provides a flexible, portable solution for security and 24/7 blind management. On-line locating is available 24/7 featuring Microsoft Virtual Earth mapping. Locate your blind through the website or through a phone menu system. PIR motion is available as an accessory.

AUSTIN, Texas – -(AmmoLand.com)- The American Deer & Wildlife Alliance’s (ADWA) Buyers Guide is a popular source for hunters, landowners, deer breeders, ranchers and sportsmen. Catering to breeder and ranch operations, ADWA member Kerns Ranch & Game Inc. announces two product lines: The Siege-Machine and KRG Hay Feeders.

“We are pleased to offer our deer and elk breeders, landowners and ranchers more products in our Buyer’s Guide from proven suppliers in the industry that also support their community and non-profit groups like ADWA,” says ADWA director of operations Annie Jones. “To grow the industry, it starts with supporting small business.”

The Siege-Machine, a truly mobile tower blind, can be easily towed by car, truck, SUV or ATV. Three Siege-Machine models with direct pricing–lower than MSRP–are available now at the Kerns Ranch & Game Store. The store also features six different models of the KRG Hay Feeders designed for deer, elk and more. Designed to reduce your waste to less than 5% with good quality hay, KRG Feeders will reduce your bottom line by maximizing hay utilization and by reducing the amount of time spent cleaning out soiled hay.

“Joining the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance was a no-brainer,” says Jim Kerns of Kerns Ranch & Game Inc. “Their support of breeders and ranchers has meant a lot to small family farms such as ours. Likewise, we wouldn’t offer products that our own farm wouldn’t use.” For quality products, huge auctions and huge discounts, please visit www.kernsranch-game.com www.kernsranch-game.com .
Annapolis, Md. — -(AmmoLand.com)-The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Wildlife and Shoreline Heritage Service announced that shoreline license applications are now being accepted from riparian (waterfront) property owners. Anyone owning riparian property, or those with permission from the property owner, may license shoreline for the purpose of establishing stationary blinds or blind sites for hunting waterfowl. Applications may also be used to prevent others from licensing the shoreline at a later date.

All applications and fees must be submitted by mail or in person and received by the close of business June 1, 2009. Riparian property owners may license their shoreline for a period of one year for a $20 fee or three years for a $60 fee. Landowners who miss the June 1 deadline may participate in the “open” licensing process that begins August 4, 2009.

Applications and information on laws related to shoreline licensing for riparian property owners are available at the DNR website www.dnr.maryland.gov/wildlife/riparian.html or by calling the Wildlife and Heritage Service at 410-260-8540, toll free at 1-877-620-8DNR (8367).
