/> The IllinoisCarry forum was started in April 2004. The idea was that Illinois needed a central location to communicate ideas and information regarding 2nd Amendment issues in Illinois. There are many organizations in Illinois working to protect our 2nd Amendment Rights. Working with these groups IllinoisCarry has become the central location for information and Action Alerts. IllinoisCarry will not endorse political candidates. We simply provide information so voters can make informed decisions. Our goal is to join the other 48 states that allow their citizens to carry concealed firearms. We encourage you to register on our forum and join the fight for your 2nd Amendment Rights in Illinois. title="AmmoLand Reports" href="http://www.ammoland.com/" target="_self">Ammoland.com)- Please donate to Wisconsin Carry, Inc’s efforts in bringing suits against the City of Madison, Madison Police, Police Chief, and anyone else culpable (ICarry is making assumptions as to whom the defendants may be).

This is for the 5 men arrested for open carrying, minding their own business. They were NOT staging anything or trying to get arrested. Some of these men are known to us personally, and we know their intentions were nothing more than to meet with one another, share a meal and conversation, and be able to exercise their fundamental right to bear arms. These open carry meet-ups are happening everywhere, and this one was no different.

Someone called the police to inquire as to whether or not what they were doing (simply openly carrying pistols) is legal. Instead of informing the caller that it is, and asking the caller if anything else seems out of place, Madison PD sent 8 officers there to harass, intimidate, and violate many rights of the citizens.

Wisconsin Carry, Inc. has tried to solve this diplomatically, but Madison Police Chief Noble Wray has simply declared all-out war by charging all 5 men with disorderly conduct, despite the Wisconsin Attorney General stating that open carry is not disorderly conduct and should not be prosecuted!

Separately and privately, to no one else’s knowledge, ICarry.org contacted Madison Police Chief Wray. We had a good conversation with him, and tried our best to make progress to deescalate this situation and get the police and law-abiding gun owners back on the same page. Chief Wray failed to mention his decision to charge all 5 men with disorderly conduct. Needless to say, we are very disappointed by this reaction of his, and we look forward to the day in court everyone will have.

We are calling on the entire country – particularly the grassroots gun rights groups like Wisconsin Carry and ICarry.org who really make the difference these days for support in this. Wisconsin is a most pivotal piece in the countrywide Right to Carry movement. Wisconsin is one of only 2 states left with completely concealed carry prohibition. As such, Open Carry has grown into a sensational movement unlike anywhere else in the nation.

All attempts will be made to transform Wisconsin into a state where law-abiding can choose which method to carry - open or concealed - based on what suits their needs and personal preferences. All attempts will be made to see this choice be a real right – no permit or license required – like Alaska, Vermont, and now Arizona.

Wisconsin can go from red to green on the Right to Carry map in one sure step after the upcoming election.

ICarry.org has witnessed countless open carry events – picnics, litter pickups, food drives, rallies, and simple casual get-togethers. These events are very spontaneous – anyone can decide to start one somewhere and people from nearby show up. Through these events, patriotic supporters of the right to bear arms have gotten to know one another, shared personal experiences, shared knowledge and education, comradery, and hopes.

Wisconsin Carry, Inc. has taken the lead to promote the safe and lawful exercise of rights for self-defense, educating the public, and staunch defense of open carry in Wisconsin. Through numerous lawsuits challenging things like the unconstitutional “gun-free school zones” relic law in Wisconsin, to blatant violations of an individual’s rights, they have proven themselves to be an organization of action – not of words or politics.

ICarry.org considers Wisconsin Carry, Inc. to be one of the finest firearms rights organizations in the country. We consider ourselves blessed to work in the same state as them, assist them when possible, and simply share the Wisconsin Open Carry experience with them.

Please help us take the Wisconsin example beyond the border to the many states that need carry law reform. The right to carry is sweeping the nation, and the adamant defense of that right by organizations like Wisconsin Carry is creating the possibility for countrywide recognition of the fundamental right of peaceable citizens to bear arms – no questions asked.

Please help ICarry.org raise $5,000 for Wisconsin Carry’s lawsuit and injunction against the City of Madison today. It will make a difference for all states!

ICarry.org

Madison, Wisconsin --(Ammoland.com)- 5 Open Carriers Harassed/Arrested All now charged with disorderly conduct!!!

On Saturday, September 18th, a group of five responsible firearms owners gathered to share company and conversation at Culvers on Town Blvd in Madison, Wisconsin. Approximately eight Madison police officers approached the firearms owners who were enjoying food and discussion with one another.

Demanding identification of the gun owners, officers used intimidation and coercion in attempts to force the citizens to provide ID. State law does not allow officers to demand ID in circumstances like this, and Madison PD’s very own “legal updates” explains exactly why refusing to provide ID is not “obstructing.”

http://www.cityofmadison.com/police/documents/Summer2004.pdf

Despite this well-known aspect of law, at least two of the law-abiding firearms owners were arrested and cited with “obstructing” charges for not providing ID. All of the citizens were harassed in public, intimidated and coerced, and inconvenienced and humiliated by the disrespectful, diminishing, and suppressive behavior of Madison police officers.

ICarry.org would first like to thank Wisconsin Carry, Inc. for its steadfast resolve to protect citizens’ rights in Wisconsin. ICarry.org is committed to supporting Wisconsin Carry, Inc. and all responsible firearms owners in the state.

The vast majority of officers are well-trained to respect the rights of citizens openly carrying firearms. Over the past few years in Wisconsin, a great deal of education has been provided for police, and police throughout the state have been exhibiting exemplary performance. There have been only a select few isolated incidents of failure of training or behavioral problems with police.

ICarry.org would like to see this incident be the last. It’s time to accept and embrace the lawful practice of open carry. There is no need to discriminate or profile against open carriers – they should be afforded the same level of dignity and respect as all other peaceful citizens. Like police officers, they too carry a sidearm only for self-protection.

About:<br

Gun owners were forced to take Daley to court – all the way to the US Supreme Court to get him to live up to his oath to UPHOLD and DEFEND the Constitution.

The Supreme Court declared the individual right to keep and bear arms to be a fundamental right, pre-existing to the Constitution itself, and enshrined in the Constitution to protect the individual from the federal government, state governments, and local governments. How did Daley respond?

He said you can now own a pistol, but you can only have 1 usable gun in your home. Your garage, porch, and yard aren’t considered part of your home. You can own a pistol, but you can’t buy one in the city because gun stores are banned. You MUST get training, and that training MUST include live fire. Firing ranges are also banned, so you will have to travel out of the city to complete your training as well.

Pay us some money - $100 or more - go through all of our paperwork and training, and you can eventually own a gun legally. Do you think that’s what the framers of our Constitutional protections had in mind when drafting the 2nd Amendment – the right that SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.

Of course not!!!

ICarry.org, its attorney Walter Maksym of Chicago, and President Joe Franzese, a federally-licensed firearms dealer,ICarry.org

Illinois --(Ammoland.com)- Although the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in McDonald that Chicago has violated an individual and fundamental right to keep and bear arms by having an outright ban on pistols (and for decades this ban did not apply to Chicago aldermen and other criminals), Daley and his cohorts have immediately responded with more outrageous restrictions.

Long waiting, lots of paperwork

Huge fees for the permits

No gun stores in Chicago

Expensive training including live fire exercise required, but no training is allowed in the city

Limits on number of guns

You can’t have a gun in all parts of your home

Much more…

Does it surprise law-abiding gun owners to receive this latest slap-in-the-face from King Richard? The intent of the new laws is quite clear – to make it as difficult and repressive as possible to own (keep) and carry (bear) a firearm.

Who do these new laws apply to? Well, certainly not the mayor, the aldermen, or their fleet of bodyguards (our hearts go out to the fallen policeman who was shot a week before his retirement after returning home from protecting King Richard’s house).

The laws are only written for you and I. Exactly the people who would never commit a crime. They simply don’t want us to own guns – it’s very clear with the miles of red tape, time, and expense required. Make any mistakes - or perhaps even if you do your best – the city has your name, address, and they may just come to visit you.

For this reason, ICarry.org has teamed up with nationally-known attorney Walter Maksym of Chicago to defend the Constitution and your rights. Mr. Maksym has put his extensive experience and knowledge to full use for us, and every gun owner in the country should applaud him for taking this case on. ICarry.org leaders have been vigorously working with Mr. Maksym this past month to make sure all unconstitutional aspects of the new Chicago ordinance are properly challenged.

Special thanks also goes out to ICarry.org President R. Joseph Franzese aka “Joe.” Joe is a federally=licensed firearms dealer and has be planning on opening gun shops in Chicago for some time. After the McDonald ruling, Joe was exciting to get started and filed for business licenses at multiple locations in Chicago. However, a few days later Daley announced the new ban on gun shops. We’re saying no!!

Mr. Daley:

You can’t ban gun stores when guns are legal no more than you can ban book stores when books are legal.

You can’t ban gun stores when guns are legal no more than you can ban churches, synagogues, and mosques when religion is a constitutionally-protected freedom.

You can’t license, permit, and charge for the exercise of fundamental rights – especially those protected by the highest law in the land, our Constitution!

As Joe pointed out in this TV interview on Fox, Mayor Daley flunked the bar exam 4 times. That whole darn Constitution part is tough for some to understand!!!

<a

We’re not going to make that mistake twice!

“State Police Interaction” under favorites in our youtube channel is what sparked this event. An ordinary open carry advocate was harassed and troubled while he finished his lunch at a Chinese restaurant by state troopers. They instigated and created a problem where none existed. They treated this man differently only because he was openly carrying a pistol on his side, as the law fully allows in Wisconsin.

Check out the following to see the video from the event.<br

Politely, proudly, perfectly! At least 50 people gathered in three locations: Starbucks, the State Police headquarters in Waukesha (where we stood on the steps to the front door, fully armed in plain sight!), and the Chinese restaurant where the harassment occurred. The restaurant owners were so happy to have us on a Sunday. They even gave us all free ice cream!!

Thank you to everyone who went, and especially to Wisconsin Carry, Inc. who helped volunteers organize and promote the event. Wisconsin Carry, Inc. has shown that they are serious about Right to Carry and serious about supporting gun owners who exercise their rights. They have also reached out to ICarry.org in friendship and camaraderie to work together and keep pushing open carry in order to remove restrictions on concealed carry in Wisconsin!!!

As a matter of fact, even though I live in Illinois, I just joined Wisconsin Carry! You see, many of us who live in northern Illinois will be traveling frequently to open carry events in Wisconsin to give our brothers and sisters to the north our support. I’m sure we will see that support reciprocated. This has already begun, and it will turn into something that’s not been seen anywhere else in the nation. Why? We’re the last two states without concealed carry, so we’re in this together and ICarry.org is leading this tag-team effort!!! If you live in Wisconsin, you should really check Wisconsin Carry, Inc. out at: www.wisconsincarry.org

Shaun Kranish<br

In addition to that, we collected hundreds of pounds of non-perishable food items for those in need.

A big thanks goes to Joe, the owner of the Save-a-Lot store in Little Chute, WI who kindly allowed us to use his facility for the food drive. We also thank the Fox Valley Metro Police Department for responding to us when we informed them of the event prior to the event.

They were completely professional and supportive of us exercising our rights. They didn’t have any concerns, and wished us luck for a fun, safe, and successful event.

Mike Long, the ICarry.org Coordinator for Outagamie County, WI did the leg work for this event. We thank him for taking initiative, making arrangements, and pulling off such a worthy endeavor.

I believe this event was his idea, and we’re so glad to have something like this started by one of our coordinators and take place!

Pictures, video, and TV coverage of the event! We sent the check-in link out twice (in the Carry Cards and the Change of plans emails).

We had people who donated, people who made purchases, and some very active members who missed out on the chance to win because they did not check-in.

Every month, the check-in link will be placed in at least 1 email we send out. The email subject line could be anything, and will not say that the check-in link is in there. So you have to read the emails and find the link in one of them. Then all you have to do is click it, type your name/email, check the box, and click send ANY time before the drawing date.

Due to the holidays, it took a few extra days to release the winner for December’s Glock of Your Choice – sponsored by GLOCK.

And the winner is…….(drumroll from the movie Christmas Vacation)

Dewey from Schaumberg, IL! Congrats, Dewey. Thanks again to GLOCK for so graciously sponsoring a pistol for this awesome drawing. Keep that in mind the next time you make a gun purchase. Who supports Right to Carry? GLOCK!!! I know my next pistol purchase is going to be a Glock.

January’s giveaway pistol will be announced on the website. It will also be sent out the next time we send an email out.

Happy New Year everyone. 2010 is going to be the best year in the restoration of the 2nd Amendment in Illinois and Wisconsin that we have seen in decades. I give you my word on that.

Shaun Kranish
ICarry.org

Hickory Hills, IL --(AmmoLand.com)- The Associated Press recently asked candidates for Illinois governor questions about gun-control legislation.

Here are highlights of their answers:

QUESTION: “Would you sign or veto legislation banning the sale and possession of semiautomatic assault-style weapons in Illinois?”

REPUBLICANS

Adam Andrzejewski: “Would veto a ban on semiautomatic ‘assault weapons’ in most circumstances. It comes down (to) law abiding citizens having the right to defend their life, liberty and property.”

Bill Brady: “I am opposed to any further restrictions to the ownership of firearms as guaranteed in the Bill of Rights and would veto legislation banning the sale and possession of semiautomatic weapons.”

Kirk Dillard: “Without having more sufficient detail, including the definition of an “assault-style weapon,” and for what circumstances the use of these weapons would be approved, this question is difficult to answer.”

Andy McKenna: “I believe in the Second Amendment and law abiding citizen’s right to own firearms to protect their families and for sporting purposes.

Dan Proft: “I would veto such legislation. … I believe arbitrary gun bans are unconstitutional and would oppose such bans.”

ICarry.org

Hickory Hills, IL --(AmmoLand.com)- Nick is a friend and mentor for me. While I work to see that everyone has the right and ability to defend themselves from criminals, Nick works to see that veterans are honored for their service and sacrifice. Here is a story about Nick Parnello, a Vietnam Veteran.

Shaun: When did you serve in Vietnam?

Nick: I served in Vietnam from ’68 to ’69. I enlisted because I always wanted to get into aviation, and I served in the 4th Infantry division 4th aviation.

Shaun: How did you first become active with veterans?

Nick: I was leaving Vietnam, and some friends were throwing me a make-shift farewell party. By chance and luck I met up with an old friend from high school that night and we spent the entire night together. He was headed back into the field as I was headed out, and we promised each other that if we both made it out of the war alive, we would meet up in Rockford and have dinner.

We kept that promise, and when the war was over we had dinner. We wondered if there were other veterans in Rockford, and knew there must be, but we didn’t know any. So we began meeting new veterans and even asking people “are you a veteran?” This started the small group we named VietNow where I served as founder and president from 79 to 82. I resigned in ’82, but VietNow kept growing and became the second largest Vietnam veterans’ organization in the country. The name VietNow means “this is Vietnam now” or in the present.

Shaun: Over the years of your involvement with veterans, what are you most proud of?

Nick: I also formed the Vietnam Veteran’s Honor Society, and we’ve done our best over the years to remember our living and fallen heroes from Winnebago County, Illinois. We started in ’89 and worked diligently. Our biggest accomplishment was the LZ Peace Memorial built in Rockford. It is a beautiful memorial with a wall for all of the men who gave their lives and served during the Vietnam war.

It’s located at Midway Village museum/park in Rockford. There is a real Huey helicopter and everything. Stop by and take a moment to remember the vets if you can.

Nick Parnello (far right) with his Vietnam Veterans Honor Society friends at the Rockford LZ Peace Memorial.

Shaun: What projects are you working on now?

Nick: My main project right now is promoting a way to honor veterans from all wars.

Shaun: How did you get involved with this project?

Nick: On July 26, 2007, I and about twenty-two other war vets were blessed to welcome home about 130 Iraq war veterans at the Rockford, Illinois airport. I was overwhelmed with feelings, knowing the young and brave soldiers were just like us when we came back from the war, but they would only be home for while and then have to go back.

I talked to and hugged the soldiers, and I realized that we really didn’t have anything to give them as a token for their service to all of us. I spent the next week thinking of ways to honor them, and I finally thought that a specially-designed pin could, with colorful symbols and words, say “Thank you for your service to our country.”

Shaun: How did you take this from just an idea and make it a reality for veterans?

Nick: I started with and focused on the design. I developed many designs over that next year, and with comments from other veterans and discussing many different ideas, it finally all came together and I arrived at the current design.
Vietnam Veterans Honor Society pin to honor veterans of all wars.

Shaun: What does the design signify?

Nick: The five large silver stars are for the branches of our armed services. The large black star in the center honors all of our POW, MIA, and KIA heroes.

I developed two different pins, because I wanted families and friends and everyone else to have a way to honor our veterans. There is the “Veterans” pin, and then there is “America Honors Our Veterans” pin.

Shaun: What is your ultimate goal with this project?

Nick: My hope is that more people will take the time to remember and honor those who fought for this country and those who still fight today. We fought for freedom then and will still fight if we have to. The ideals of freedom, liberty, and honor are sacred. Let’s remember that and keep it sacred every day. Let us never take it for granted.

Shaun: Thank you, Nick, for everything you’ve done and continue to do for veterans. I know you’ve made a big difference in many lives.

Nick: Thank you, Shaun, for helping us spread the word and for everything you’re doing with ICarry.org. Veterans remember the Second Amendment and will fight for it like all of our other freedoms. As a nation, we can’t defend ourselves if the citizens aren’t able to freely use and practice with firearms. I know we will see right-to-carry very soon in Illinois, and veterans are behind you!

We put nick’s Veteran pin up for sale on the ICarry store to help him raise money for the Vietnam Veteran’s Honor Society. They have been giving free pins away to veterans and families of veterans, and we think that’s a great thing. They are out of the family pin right now, but have a limited number of Veteran pins in stock, so if you’re interested act quickly. They’re hoping to raise enough money to have more made before Christmas.

Thanks for taking the time to read the story and I hope you liked it. It was a real honor for me to do this and help my friend and other veterans.

Stay safe,

Shaun Kranish Founder, ICarry.org

ICarry.org<br

Wieslaw from Hickory Hills, IL is the winner of the brand new Armalite AR24-15C custom pistol from Armalite, Inc. in Illinois!!!

Thanks to Armalite for the discount on the pistol. We appreciate their support with our mission to educate and facilitate the safe and speedy transition to right-to-carry in WI and IL. Congratulations, Wieslaw.

We painstakingly verified all submissions for this month – about 500, and then added in extra entries for those who donated $10 or more, joined the Gun Owners Fellowship, or made purchases for $10 or more (1 extra entry per $10). We then triple-randomly sorted the list, and then used the random number generator at www.random.org to give 10 random numbers. #1 on the list was 159, and our winner’s entry was on that row!!

We choose backup winners just in case. So thanks to everyone who participated. We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I would also like to thank all of the volunteers who have stepped forward to fill the county coordinator positions for all counties in Illinois and Wisconsin. We have had a great response. So far we have confirmed coordinators for three counties, although there are a dozen or so more that will be confirmed shortly (we’re not rushing things with the holidays).

Please Welcome:

Joe Franzese – Lake County, IL Coordinator

Craig Celia – DuPage County, IL Coordinator

William Schriever – Grundy County, IL Coordinator

We’re still looking for more coordinators, so if you think you could be the right person and would like more information, please let us know. We will send you additional info on the position and you can see if it’s right for you. We are especially in need of coordinators in Wisconsin. We have had a lot of applicants for Illinois positions and are short on Wisconsin volunteers.

Thanks for supporting right-to-carry in Illinois and Wisconsin! Stay tuned for more news as we organize and take action to make the transition to right-to-carry in Illinois and Wisconsin as quick and successful as possible.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Shaun Kranish Founder, ICarry.org

P.S. – I forgot to mention that GLOCK, Inc. donated a new pistol for December’s giveaway. Actually, the winner gets to choose which model/caliber they want, and even if they want it in standard black or OD Green!! class="wp-caption-text">ICarry.org

Rockford, IL --(AmmoLand.com)- Gun ownership is increasing at an unheard of rate in the US this year.

The largest contributing factor to this is the fear that the Obama administration will attempt to pass new sweeping legislation that would ban certain types of guns based on their cosmetic appearances, like the so-called Assault Weapons ban that expired in 2004.

With 48 states having adopted concealed carry legislation, and the vast majority of those – 40 – have what is referred to as shall-issue licensing, meaning anyone who qualifies for a license or permit MUST be issued one. 8 states still have discretionary or more accurately discriminatory issue, it’s easy to see where this trend is headed.

The Supreme Court has ruled that individuals DO have the right to own and carry (keep and bear) arms for self-defense and other uses. The Supreme Court is also set to rule next year on whether or not, or to what extent, states can restrict this right. If the highest court follows the intentions of the founders of this country, “that every man be armed,” then we should see even more drastic reduction of the approx. 30,000+ gun laws on the books that have been completely ineffective at reducing crime, since criminals readily ignore the laws and illegally obtain and use guns in crimes regardless.

Truth is finally prevailing, and the right to protect yourself and your family is on a major comeback! With minimal training and practice, the average person can protect themselves very effectively. It’s time for all of us to step up to the plate and take advantage of this trend. There’s simply no need to let gun control get you down anymore!!!

ICarry.org Update
A lot is happening at ICarry.org. After a short leave due to my personal obligations, I have now been able to dedicate myself to this cause full time. By using the Internet, our website, and these simple newsletters in addition to other marketing, we’ve been able to come a long way in a short time. I’m very thankful to the volunteers who have been helping with these tasks, and to the many people who have stepped up to help support what we’re doing with donations.

Right now we’re getting our store running. In the next week it should be fully functional, and we will have a lot of neat things to offer. The store will also help us bring in the revenue needed to keep going! By popular demand, high-quality car window stickers are being printed. These stickers will look fantastic, last a lifetime, and they’re easily removable and re-stickable without leaving any residue. It took some work, but I found the best ones I could, and you’ll see them start popping up on cars everywhere very soon.

We’ve also partnered with Gun Owners of America to help defend the right to keep and bear arms in a no-compromise fashion on the state and federal level. Larry Pratt, the executive director of GOA, put it this way: “Illinois [and Wisconsin] has needed a take-no-prisoners group to defend the right to keep and bear arms. ICarry.org is that group.” We’re thankful for the kind words and look forward to working together to see that no new restrictions are placed on the ownership of firearms and remove as many of the unneeded current restrictions as possible.

We are also making really cool distributable business cards that everyone can use to raise awareness of the right-to-carry in Illinois and Wisconsin! Our survey showed that you wanted these, so we are putting out! These will be available as inexpensively as possible on our store in the next week or two just like the window decals.

Other than that, we’re working diligently to bring some nice new firearms for our One Gun a Month Giveaway. This month, November 09, Armalite, Inc. based right here in Geneseo, Illinois, has been gracious enough to partially sponsor one of their nice AR 24-15C pistols. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out on the homepage of ICarry.org. For December, we have been given a full sponsorship by one of the largest pistol manufacturers in the world. I’ll announce that after this month’s drawing

We have a lot going on right now, and as busy and hectic as it is, it’s also very exciting. A good friend of mine has agreed to help out with the workload on a part time basis. I’m very excited to have her on board, as she’s very talented and will be a huge help!

I was trying to find an interesting and entertaining story for this newsletter. I need to get it out so time is running out. I have started a thread in our forum for members to post their fun/interesting/entertaining personal stories (or stories of someone they know personally). It doesn’t have to be gun related, but it can be! This should be a fun thing, so check it out here and see who’s posted or better yet throw your own in there!!

www.icarry.org/ftopict-1877.html

Thanks for reading our newsletters and staying informed. Campaign-wise there isn’t much going on right now, so we get to focus on what we’re doing and how local businesses and politicians are supporting the cause. We appreciate your support and ALWAYS value your input. If you have questions, ideas, suggestions, criticisms, whatever, please let me know. Send me an email personally by replying to this newsletter. I’ll read it, reply, and do something about it as well!

Thanks again to all of you who have supported us with donations to keep us going. We are getting more corporate sponsors and will be more self-sufficient as time goes on, but right now is a very critical time for us. We have a lot of expenses, a lot of bills, lots of advertising and other costs. If you haven’t donated yet, please consider giving what you can. It all goes directly to the fight for right-to-carry in Illinois and Wisconsin. We don’t have any salaries

It took some real work, but I got this cool donation meter going. See it here (it’s on the left side of the page):

www.icarry.org/donate.html

We’re trying to raise $2,700 this month to cover costs and have some money to work with. When you donate, the meter will update in a few seconds. If you login, you can also show your support by having your ICarry username show up if you want, or you can keep it private. Let’s see how much we can raise this month and try to go past our goal!

www.icarry.org/donate.html

For every $10 you donate we will automatically enter you into this month’s drawing for the Armalite another time again. There’s no limit to entries!

Stay in the fight, and so will we! Take care.

Sincerely yours,

Shaun Kranish Founder, ICarry.org sak@icarry.org

ICarry.org
GunOwnersFellowship.com

Rockford, IL --(AmmoLand.com)- If you’re like me, you own and maybe even carry firearms to be prepared for the unknown. You’ve probably had safety training and some marksmanship or defense training as well. We all do this to be ready in case we have to defend ourselves or our family.

I was unprepared one time, however, not for defending myself against a violent attack, but for the legal implications of carrying. Far too often, gun owners are treated as second-class citizens, and even worse — as criminals. Being prepared is looked at by some as a crime!

Although I was following the law – I even carried a copy of the law with me – I was still arrested, charged, and had to defend myself in court. The charges were later dismissed, but it cost me a small fortune. While I was prepared to protect myself from attack, I was not prepared to deal with false charges.

Since then people from Illinois and even other states have contacted me looking for help because they wound up similar situations. It was too difficult to help them all, but I did what I could.

A little over a year ago I started a group called the Gun Owners Fellowship. It is a support network for gun owners who use a gun for self-defense, OR face prosecution/harassment or other persecution because they chose to be prepared instead of being a victim.

We’ve grown to about 100 members since then. There’s a small one-time fee to join as a life member, and then no one ever has to pay another dime unless one of the members needs support. If a member is arrested or harassed in any way because of his or her responsible use or possession of a firearm, all the members band together to help him or her out.

So far no one has needed the support, which is fantastic because dealing with legal issues is very stressful and difficult. I’m glad that myself and our other members have NOT had to pay any recurring cost either!

Check out the website and see what our members have to say about it. It’s very secure knowing that other people are there if I need it. I also like knowing that I can finally help people if they get in trouble that they don’t deserve.

www.GunOwnersFellowship.com

We support concealed carry, open carry, and all lawful and responsible use of firearms for self-defense and defense of family. Our members’ spouses are even covered with their membership.

This is very different and not to be confused with insurance or casualties. The advantage is it costs next to nothing and there are no monthly or yearly dues. You don’t pay unless someone really needs it.

Thanks for checking it out and we hope to welcome you and yours into the Fellowship! If you have any questions, you can reply to this email or call the number on the Fellowship website and I will personally do my best to help you.

Stay safe,

Shaun Kranish Founder, ICarry.org
ICarry.org

Rockford, IL --(AmmoLand.com)-That’s our new slogan at ICarry.org – and we aim to be the #1 right-to-carry resource for our two beloved holdout states.

If you don’t already know, I live in Illinois. I’ve been staying active for over 4 years to try to get the right to carry. It’s been a long, tough battle. I’ve even gotten doubtful at times myself, as I see many gun owners in Illinois and Wisconsin are.

I wanted to take a second to assure you that we will get concealed carry. I have a feeling it won’t be very long either. I’m thinking at least one state if not both will get it next year. Pretty bold statement, right? I try not to blow smoke up skirts, and it’s only been recently that I realized we were so close.

Open Carry events in Wisconsin are becoming more and more frequent and successful The US Supreme Court has affirmed our right to own and use pistols for self-defense. This ruling mentions open carry and very strongly supports it. The US Supreme Court has agreed to hear the Chicago gun ban case and rule on it next year in a landmark case that will analyze whether or not, or to what extent, states may regulate the right to keep and bear arms!

Organizations like the Illinois Sheriff’s Association, Illinois Farm Bureau, and others are coming out supporting a concealed carry law. County advisory resolutions have swept the State of Illinois urging them to pass a concealed carry law. Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn recently signed HB182 and HB3714 to protect law-abiding gun owners from wrongful prosecution and the IL Supreme Court just ruled that you can carry an unloaded gun – even with loaded magazines – in the console and presumably other compartments of your car without having to use a second case! I could keep going, but it’s not necessary. More info is on our site.

The point I am making is the time has come for the right-to-carry in Illinois and Wisconsin. Watch as more and more politicians begin supporting it. Smart politicians will see their constituents pushing hard for it. Smart politicians will see the trend of everything moving towards more freedom to own and carry guns.

Women, minorities, and police are pushing for it. People with disabilities who tend to be prime targets of violent crime are pushing for it. We are all equal and we are all pushing for it.

ICarry.org will be starting aggressive ad campaigns to make right-to-carry the top issue for this election and keep it the top issue until it is done. We wish to educate the public before AND after major victories for right-to-carry are won. We will bring many new people into awareness of this issue. This will allow concealed carry to be as effective as possible as a crime deterrent after it is passed.

I’d like to thank our friends at OpenCarry.org for helping to encourage the open carry of firearms up in Wisconsin. This is one of the most effective ways to effect change and educate the public at the same time! Keep up the great work open carriers – we’ll see you at events.

So next time you hear yourself start to say “It’ll never happen…” Please stop and pull your foot out of your mouth because it is happening. If you hear any other gun owners start to talk like that, then tell them to signup at ICarry.org for the free gun so we can take a quick second to educate them too.

Thanks!

Take care,

Shaun A Kranish

ICarry.org Founder

ICarry.org, 1817 18th Avenue, Rockford, IL 61104, USA
ICarry.org

Rockford, IL --(AmmoLand.com)- I have to quickly tell you where this idea came from. I’m probably not the genius you thought I was. If you know a little about anti-gunners, you’ll know they are ALWAYS trying to pass “one gun a month” laws. Pretty self-explanatory – you can only buy one gun, or one handgun, each month.

The excuse is to stop “gun trafficking” although everyone knows criminals don’t get their guns from gun stores and dealers. It’s really just a foot in the door law. Next it’s one gun a quarter, one gun a year, or one gun period.

That’s not what I want to tell you about, though. Today I want to tell you about a man from Illinois – a very unique man – a once valuable asset to the self-defense movement. His name is John Birch and his website was www.concealcarry.org. Concealed Carry, Inc. to be exact.

Based in Oak Brook, surrounded by some of the most factually ignorant and sheepish people around, close to the heart of the beast of a city Chicago – famed as the murder capital of the country for some of recent years, John Birch and Concealed Carry, Inc, started a stir.

John knew how to say exactly what he thought without mincing words, and he had a talent at pissing people off on a regular basis. His real strong suit was getting media attention. Media attention that brought new allies to the gun rights battle.

John, with his FFL license, decided that to him One Gun a Month meant something truly more noble – finding a person in need in dangerous Chicago who could benefit the most from a FREE PISTOL.

http://web.archive.org/web/20020610082306/http://www.concealcarry.org/freegun.htm

One has to dig into the web archive to see John’s handiwork, but there it is. Media attention galore! National and even international media attention. What did it do? Raise awareness of the issue in Illinois.

The political and legal climate wasn’t quite ready for such a move, however. Concealed carry hadn’t made it to as many states, the Supreme Court had not yet ruled that yes the 2nd Amendment does protect an individual right to own and carry weapons for personal protection. There wasn’t as much fannypack carry in Illinois, and certainly no Open Carry events to my knowledge up in Wisconsin.

But now, things are quite different. In Illinois, county-by-county concealed carry is being acknowledged by county resolution. Some counties have even pushed to get legislation passed to allow people to carry. Police organizations and other highly-influential orgs are publicly supporting concealed carry.

Wisconsin has passed it not once, but twice! Only to fall short one and then two votes short of overriding anti-gun bigot Gov. Jim Doyle’s veto.

If you didn’t see the survey over at ICarry.org, I’ll tell you the results have come in so far exactly as I expected. It’s time to call in the troops. The slow-to-act gun owners across Illinois and Wisconsin needn’t be fearful of being on the “losing” team any longer.

Hopefully this was interesting to you. Hopefully we can honor the memory of the original One Gun a Month Giveaway with our own. If things go well, it will have to be one gun for each Wisconsin and Illinois. Then perhaps a third gun for out-of-state supporters.

Thanks for taking a few minutes to read this. Huge thanks goes to: BulletStop Gun Shop for helping to make this all possible!!! http://bulletstopguns.com/ILHOME.html

Take care,

Shaun A Kranish

ICarry.org Founder

ICarry.org, 1817 18th Avenue, Rockford, IL 61104, USA<br
