Manasquan, NJ --(AmmoLand.com)- Here is a nice update by Great American Outdoor Trail’s Radio Magazine on our friend and hero Tred Barta.
If you did not know Tred has a Spinal Stroke in the beginning of 2009 that has left him paralyzed from the waist down. It is great to hear his voice and to hear that he is pushing through this tragedy “the hard way..the Barta way”
Tred is famous for his outdoors television show The Best & Worst of Tred Barta on Versus Channel. Tred has worked hard in the past to raise $1,800,000 for children’s charities. Now one good turn deserves another.
Needles to say Tred has been out of work and has run up some staggering medical bills. Knowing Tred it must be very difficult to take any kind of charity but the man deserves our support. If you feel you would like to help Tred, his wife and kids out and pay down some of these bills his family has set up a fund for just that purpose.
Send what you can to:
Ann D Barta Medical Fund for Tred Barta
Wells Fargo Bank
PO Box 567
Eagle CO, 81631
Keep your spirits up Ted we miss you and hope to see you back on screen as soon as possible. – AmmoLand

Ann D Barta Medical Fund for Tred Barta
http://www.ammoland.com/?p=71

Great American Outdoor Trails Radio Magazine Adds Six StationsGreat American Outdoor Trails Radio MagazineOctober 19th 2008 - The Great American Outdoor Trails Radio Magazine has added six stations to its’ Outdoor Trails Network (OTN). KCLA 1400 AM and KZYP 99.3 FM in Pine Bluff Arkansas; KUOA in Fayetteville Arkansas that broadcast on frequencies of 105.3 FM, 1290 AM, 1480 AM; and WJFN 970 AM in Jackson Mississippi. The Great American Outdoor Trails Radio Magazine will air Saturday mornings at 6:00 AM beginning October 25 in Pine Bluff AR and Jackson MS and November 2, in Fayetteville AR.
“We’re proud to add these six stations to our affiliate station group,” says host Jim Ferguson. The stations are operated by Hodges Broadcasting in Pine Bluff, Hog Radio Inc.in Fayetteville and Game Day LLC in Jackson and came to us as a result of a referral from our affiliate station group the Radio Colorado Network in Denver Colorado.
Arkansas and Mississippi are known as a big hunting and fishing states and combined with our other Arkansas affiliate KBOK in Malvern this will give OTN a very strong presence to two thirds of the population of the state Arkansas.
KJFN 970 AM in Jackson is the first station for us in Mississippi. WJFN Sports Radio 970 The Fan has a large listening audience out of the 200,000 people that live in Jackson area”. Jackson is only a stones throw from the Gulf of Mexico so we’ll cover both fresh and saltwater fishing in their programming line-up along with our other popular segments.
Our business plan when we started seven years ago was to build a network of stations across the nation where we could deliver a national outdoor program on a regional basis. This will offer sponsors, stations and listeners the opportunity to hear programming that is geographically specific and sponsors an opportunity to make regional advertising media buys to enhance the sale of their products.
OTN now has 73 radio stations thirteen states Mississippi, Minnesota, Missouri, Kentucky, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois and Texas broadcasting their award winning program to a projected audience of over 4 million. They also have 752 Affiliate/Host Websites providing outdoor programming each week with a projected listening audience of over 2 million on the web.
The Great American Outdoor Trails Radio Magazine also hosts and produces podcasts for Brooke Insurance, North American Hunting Club (750,000 members), North American Fishing Club (450,000 members), and Family Fish & Game Magazine.
